Swimming the Channel

Slot is sorted, not for me I may add - not that daft.

Crewing for our lass and helping her with training and nutrition during the swim, wondering if anyone else had any experience of something like this?

One of the big ones to do in the Ocean's Seven is Spain to Morocco as it happens.

Not a clue about how the slot was secured but it involves paying to get a boat and pilot to chart your course across and advise on if and when you can go.

And yeah as you would expect the training is incredibly time consuming - about 4 or 5 swims a week including one 5-6 hour one on a Sunday every week. Will ramp up nearer the date as well.

Takes as long as you take. It's usually between 30-40 miles depending on your speed (faster you are the shorter the swim).

Targeting 16 hours

A 5-6 hour swim! Fuuuuuuck that.
