Sustainability / Commercial ideas

Masses of traffic on here about drinking. Nothing about getting a decent coffee, hot chocolate or tea; maybe with a flapjack or something? It's damn cold at the SoL sometimes.
Not everybody drinks. A lot of people drive to Sun'land so stay dry, and a lot wouldn't want a drink at 2.30pm anyway. Standing in a massive queue (if you can find the right one) to get an inferior product is simply not worth it for me. So how about pre-poured hot drinks and cans of cold drinks and a small range of ket served by people on commission who want to get as many people served as possible in 15 minutes? You'd have a short queue and you can take your stuff to your seat, so less congestion on the concourses.
I'm not anti-drink BTW, and I love a day/night out getting wellied; it's just that the focus on here is very narrow and most people don't use the SoL as a boozer.

Following on from what's been an interesting discussion on the Spurs thread. I thought it would be an idea to have a thread with suggestions and discussions on ways to improve the finances of the club.

Extended concourses with better food and drink options to encourage more fans to make a day of it at the game

Any other ideas?

You the new commercial director? Good crowdsourcing of ideas if so.

What about if once a month they held a public training session for families at the stadium or in the beacon?

Maybe have a couple squad players have a kick about with people’s kids or let kids take a shot at the reserve keeper after? Charge £10 per head (maybe £7 for season ticket holders) per session and limit numbers to a manageable amount?

It’s not a huge amount of income, but it’s not a big distraction for the squad, it’s only an extra day a month the grass would be worn and it may bring in a little extra and get greater community engagement with kids and the supporters of the future which means greater future income?

Obviously events on the pitch are the biggest driver for fans, but if we can engage more, make things that suit everyone then it's got to generate more money than just leaving it as it is?
Certainly. Its one of the positives that our ground has space around it. We should be using all advantages. Off field we just appear to be stagnating, baffling when we need the cashflow to improve on the field.

For sustainability we really need a decent kit that will last more than a season without the badge peeling off.

Once we have that, keep the design for more than one season like we used to.
I was very much against the transfer badges (the initial run were very poor). The newer ones are very good though, they’re actually better than the embroidered ones imo. If you wash the shirts correctly, they stay in perfect condition. Wash on 20°c wash, no conditioner, inside out and air dry.

My personal opinion is it looks shite. If I’m going for a pint I detest huge queues & it becoming an event where people become zany fucknuts. If I was away at a match abroad, it’d be canny, as a one off. Also, can imagine it being shit October to March.

Not sure if there’s the a way to do pop up ones, like a festival tent or something during decent weather. But then it’d be space.
