Aye, but the C AMRA Tent is always worth a visit ...... not much chance of us playing them in the near future either. What's the next Durham game you'll be at then?

1. shepherd neame beer tastes like horse vomit

2. they are cúnts. went down to the sri lanka tour match yesterday after work. started at 2pm i got there about 8, sri lanka had batted and kent were into their 17 or 18th over 50/3 chasing 300. they wanted £30 off me :eek::eek:

will be there when durham play regardless.usually try to get to a few matches at cls per season but with the missus, who is into cricket, loves durham and has the car and it seems like our relationship is heading down the toilet so probably not much chance of that anytime soon. with the sussex game gone and kent in div 2 for the foreseeable not sure, might pop up for a saturday/sunday on me todd at somewhere like lords or the oval.

S & Neame isn't usually that bad - well, when compared to Greene King IPA! Does this mean the CAMRA Tent is no more?
Can't believe them trying to charge £30 at that time in the game - sheer greed nee wonder you're not happy with them! We actually play Kent Spitfires at Canterbury on Tuesday 29th July - there'll be a few of us down for that, then Hove 5th August and Lords 9th - 12th September. Nothing else in the South. May bump into you at Canterbury then?

eurgh green king ipa, or foamy water as we call it. i havent been to a game tbh since they 'renovated' it so i have no idea about the tent, it was there last time i went but that was a while back. the game stokes obliterated kent despite fat boy's 261, a few years back now i guess.

i think i have the 29th july off, it is the week after the kent beer festial, i'll be there aye. might look into those other dates and see if i can make them anarl.

shepherd neame is pretty dire and most people in kent feel the same way but maybe it is just getting sick of it, not sure i could ever palate it tbh though. their are quite a few much better breweries down this way, shame most every pub down here is tied to them.

Hahaha! It's referred to as "Swamp" on our cricket tour to Bury St Edmunds!

I missed that game, but was down for a one sayer when the Colonel snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. The Spitfire supporters were singing "Top of the league you're having a laugh". Absolutely brilliant the way Mustard took them apart in the final couple of overs and shut them up ..... topper. We'll be in the tent on the 29th .....

sounds good. ill look into booking them dates off work tomorrow...

Haha! I've been down here 40 odd years and still got a twang, though as I'm surrounded by London Branch I'm used to the lads with non - Northern accents. No worries at all.

each and every date of those is booked at work  im hoping i can swap with some people and come to some, thought i would be able to do one day at lrods but checked the dates and 9-12 is all midweek, i thought all games start on sundays from this year? why is it ALWAYS the one time you need it to be normal they fuck about with it??

It's weird isn't it? I mean you would expect the powers to be to realise they have a better chance of getting people along if the games straddle the weekend! Not sure, but the 20/20s sometimes are evening games but my fixture list doesn't say.

especially when you are travelling from durham to london

btw i imagine they will be 50 over games, the t20 is done with regional groups iirc

Look forward to catching up with you - you'll soon realise who we are!

decisions decisions... july 29th durham ccc 2 minutes walk from my house or july 28-aug 3 safc pre season in portugal.

never been to a football match on me todd, never mind in another country but it is tempting like!

why do all teh best things always happen at the same clucking time?!!?!?!?!?

In a similar quandary, but think the footie will win out. There's always a good crew on these tours, I know of about eight who'll be going so will be tempted to tag along with them - if they'll have me! I'll start stocking up on sun block spray now!

didn't notice you had replied. soz.

i have now managed to get the week off of the 28th july and the september match at lords.

feck knows what to do. i might look into flights and what not and go to the cricket then go to portugal after for 4 or 5 days or whatever. would be on me todd though so could easily feck off the football and just do cricket. not arsed about watching football on me own, never done it but sure i will this year plenty as me marra i go with is having a kid soon and me and the missus are history which leaves me with nee one to gan with, the solo football i can handle, just the train rides and pubbing won't be so great.

i'll have to get to know some of you barmy lot  ;)

like i say the game wouldn't bother me at all i don't think, i crack on to the people around me as much as my mates at them and spend more time shouting and singing that chatting to mates during the game anyhow. still, most of the fun [especially with results often so dire] is the pre match boozing and possibly eating and post match boozing. could be mint fun if you bump into loads of like minded, could be boring as fuck, beer cradling and wandering and that.

if you want to go to an away game and are not a total mentalist [but are a bit mental preferably] then let us know, we could end up best mates for life

i'm quite talkative. we could make an awesome good cop, bad cop style team. let us know like, want to get to more games. im 32 by the way and i guess i could be called averageish. i'm down south mind, and have a horrendous accent  ..... but don't think that means i want to sit on me hands all game and argue with the people stood in front
