Good to see our city centre busy this afternoon.
Was on the Mosaic yesterday in both Fitzies then the Isis. The Mosaic pale in Fitzgeralds was fine actually. The Arbor Mosaic pale in the Ivy was far better though. Far more expensive mind![]()
Was on the Mosaic yesterday in both Fitzies then the Isis.
The Isis had a Pina Colada cider on
Sampled a taste out of curiosity and it tasted exactly like PC cocktails, to be fair no real cider taste...didn't order a pint of it mind.
The carpet man...where we were sat the wear is through the underlay to the floor itself.Fitzies at 7.30 on Saturday night was very quiet, remember years ago we'd start there and it was rammed at that time.
The carpet man...where we were sat the wear is through the underlay to the floor itself.
Doesn't bother me as such but very very tired .
Still reckon best cask beer in the town mind
Why don’t they just lift the carpet and return to floorboardsMy mate pointed out the carpet was in a right state.
Not a huge drinker of cask, but it's usually a well kept pint I have to say.
It's always a good pint. We were in about tea time. There was a few in then. The carpet man...where we were sat the wear is through the underlay to the floor itself.

Seems the owners aren't bothered as long as they keep certain levels of income coming in. Shame as its needed overhaul for a long time. Would be a great spot if done correctly. Why don’t they just lift the carpet and return to floorboards
It's a dump, people should boycott it ,until the owners show some commitment to improving the pub.The carpet man...where we were sat the wear is through the underlay to the floor itself.

It's convenient for the buses. I do think many are going to the newer better bars. If its not improved it may eventually hit a point of no return for many. It's a dump, people should boycott it ,until the owners show some commitment to improving the pub.
They own most of the great bars in Newcastle, taking the p### in Sunderland.
I’ve always thought Fitzies would look canny if done out similar to a smaller version of the City Tavern in Newcastle. Both similar in some ways with the already old school traditional finishes and different levels inside. Just needs modernised a bit. It's a dump, people should boycott it ,until the owners show some commitment to improving the pub.

Spoken like a true Mag.It's a dump, people should boycott it ,until the owners show some commitment to improving the pub.

I'm gonna guess it's down to the clip of the place and the people who drink in there mate.Double Maxim and Medusa IPA both from the Maxim Brewery on in Jameson's for £2.63 a pint.
What's not to like?
A cesspitI'm gonna guess it's down to the clip of the place and the people who drink in there mate.
It's far from the worst on that stretch of road but it's not awer clever like.A cesspit
Very true, the beer snobs on here must pay more to drink in a more upmarket establishment to make them happy.I'm gonna guess it's down to the clip of the place and the people who drink in there mate.
WTF, Fitzies needs closing if they are doing nowt with it!Spoken like a true Mag.![]()
Just so we're clear, Sunderland drinkers who like the beer and like the service should stop going because you don't like the carpet?WTF, Fitzies needs closing if they are doing nowt with it!
Great location let someone develop it for Sunderland drinkers.
