Sunderland vs boro 22 Jan 23

I clearly forgot you are angels and didn’t attack buses before and after said game.

Haven't seen any evidence of that.

I did however sadly witness Sunderland thugs attacking the MFC Disabled Supporters Club mini-bus at the SOL which is the absolute lowest of the low.

Unfortunately for your genuine supporters you played Boro in a League Cup match at The Riverside less than a month later.
Two teams in good form so it should be a good game, I just hope our injuries clear up in time..
Get your excuses in early! ;)

Peterlee and Easington are much closer to Sunderland than they are Middlesbrough.

Are they ? Every time I drive past the likes of Peterlee or a Wheatley Hill I’m only 10 minutes off passing through the Boro.
I’d be amazed if there wasn’t a decent proportion of Boro fans in these parts.

I’d suspect that the wear-tees derby sees higher arrests on both sides than usual, which sort of suggests that a lot more fans see it as a derby than care to let on.
Whey aye.somebody must be singing we hate burra.everytime we play sunderland .
Obviously they don't post on here.
I don't care either way buts let's get away from this just another game bullshit.
P.s I have been going to tees wear derbies 🤣🤣since 1974

Hopefully Tony Mowbray drills it into our players about it being a derby and we actually beat them for once.
Well one things for certain, being a Boro lad he knows what it means to the Boro supporters. Not easy for Mogga with the usual general malaise of the Sunderland fans towards the fixture ... but any of the Sunderland players who were at The Riverside earlier this season should get the gist!

I was working on the Tees when Darren Williams got the goal that looked to condemn Boro and keep us up. I was a lone Sunderland fan amongst around 600 Boro on the following Monday nightshift. They took it on the chin, great lads. I have had huge respect for Boro fans ever since. It would have been poison on the Tyne.
As it turned out they both went down mind 🙄

And again, I'm not claiming we're angels. I was just making the point to the other poster that Sunderland fans are in no position to point their fingers at Boro fans when your fans have hardly behaved impeccably whenever you've come to Boro down the years.
So what you’re saying is no one can have a go at this including you?

I walked through the car park outside the east sand after the game, where all your coaches were parked. Some of your fans threw seats and bottles over the fence.
Maybe it had something to do with your fans gathering outside of the away end to goad the SAFC fans?
Also how can seats be thrown when you claim the trouble was outside of the ground? You’ve tied yourself in a knot here.

Every Boro/Sunderland game I've attended down the years has always felt different to your average league game.

I don't know when it became a 'thing' to try and play the fixture down but it's a shame really. As a football fan, you surely should embrace the idea of having rivalries and games which have added spice.

Was always the same when we played Newcastle and Leeds. Didn't feel quite as intense as games vs Sunderland but still always a cracking atmosphere. Give me that any day of the week over playing the likes of Reading and Luton.

It's A derby just not THE derby, I want to beat them a little more than say Hull or Huddersfield but ultimately it's just another game

I don't get that worry or butterflies that we get in the lead up to the mags games, yes it would be nice to beat them but it's nice to win any game
