*~*~* Sunderland v Swansea match thread *~*~*

Really disappointing performance. We're sitting too deep. I know he's out of position but Browne was atrocious. I thought he'd have better passing ability. Steady, bog standard Championship midfielder, though.

Harrison Jones didn't take his chance at all. Far too conservative and timid.
Browne was shocking

Poor performance today, but I think RLB has decided to minimise the risk of injuring anyone before the playoffs and I can't blame him for being timid. We will play better when it counts for something.

I’ve got to say I’m more disappointed with Reggies tactics than the result. We should be experimenting & playing without fear in these dead rubbers. Boring shite tactics, Isidor completely isolated.

SInce xmas ive lost count how many times ive walked out saying thats the worst game of the season to be trumped by the next game.
And ive renewed i must be mad ffs.

Maybe we'll get £10mil for Jones to someone like Brighton 😅

Insult to attending fans that, especially the international fans. Yes, the result means nothing in the grand scheme, but at least try to look interested. Nothing whatsoever there. No passion, no commitment, no intensity, no movement, no skill (baring Roberts and Le Fey). Nothing.

The last three games we’ve had to try something. What has happened, we’ve had EXACTLY the same performance in all three. Created nothing and never looked like scoring (and baring a goalkeeping mistake at West Brom, we wouldn’t have).

It’s the same benchmark for the opposition isn’t it? Sit back, sick back, watch Sunderland go backwards and sideways for a bit then score a soft one from a set piece. Win 1-0.

At least try to go at teams. Try to attack and don’t worry if you concede in doing so.

What would happen if we had a goal or two deficit to turn around in the second leg of the playoffs? Can you really see us attacking and getting at a team in the hope of restoring parity. Not a hope in hell.

Not a hope in hell we will win the play offs either, and you can bookmark this.
