The last three games we’ve had to try something. What has happened, we’ve had EXACTLY the same performance in all three. Created nothing and never looked like scoring (and baring a goalkeeping mistake at West Brom, we wouldn’t have).

It’s the same benchmark for the opposition isn’t it? Sit back, sick back, watch Sunderland go backwards and sideways for a bit then score a soft one from a set piece. Win 1-0.

At least try to go at teams. Try to attack and don’t worry if you concede in doing so.

What would happen if we had a goal or two deficit to turn around in the second leg of the playoffs? Can you really see us attacking and getting at a team in the hope of restoring parity. Not a hope in hell.

I am in disbelief that people are either defending that or coming up with excuses.

Resting players. Conserving energy. Pissing about while we wait for the first leg. Nowt to play for. Etc etc.

I’m sorry like but that was a woeful performance. Passing it in a triangle between the defenders and keeper. A 4th game without a goal from open play.

Patto will be playing in the play offs and had another fumble.

Neil will be playing in the play offs and had a shocker.

Isidor will be playing in the play offs and was offside more than he had touches.

Watson could be playing in the play offs, but he shouldn’t be, cos he was completely disinterested.

Roberts will be playing in the play offs and although he did have an ok game, his cutting inside consistently comes to nothing.

We have been crap for months and bumbled our wins by 1 goal cos we score and just sit back. Yes you only need to score once to win a game but it bites you in the arse more than it doesn’t.

It needs sorting. We look like the worst team in the playoffs at the minute, by some distance.

Crap result, definitely not a free kick, but defended it terribly.

Either way it’s onto the next game and try and get some sort of form together running into the playoffs.

I pay my money, I give up my time. It’s not a nothing game to me. You can’t win them all but I at least expect us to try.

Also, play like that in the playoffs and we’re getting nowhere.

Not wrong to be honest. Even when we were getting throw ins in promising positions or on a quick attack we were taking 20 seconds just to get the ball back in action.

The lack of urgency is worrying. The passing about at the back bit is frustrating aswell absolutely zero options goes from Patterson to 09 /Mepham , pass it between the 2 centre backs once or twice, back to Patterson, hoof it long and lose it.

Not wrong about Robert's either , his touch and dribbling are absolutely top notch but I can't remember the last time he cut inside and actually got a really solid strike off that didn't hit the first defender it came too.

I hope RLB knows what he is doing. I hope he is simply getting players ready for the play offs now. Getting minutes in the legs of those who need it, giving others time to heal and get fit and adopting a very catiuos playing style to avoid any further injury problems come May.
Our football is slow, predictable and actually quite boring... It has been for quite a while now. I'm thinking Shaff U at home on New Year's night was the last time we actually grabbed a home game by the throat.
