And failed miserably every time he’s went up. And failed to go up many times.

And Clough hasn't failed? f***ing hell he was shite at Sheff Utd in this league after failing with Derby County. It's like arguing who is better now Wyke or Graham, they are both f***ing terrible.

Plus points today the lads Diamond and Mcfadzean if that’s his name done fairly well and I wouldn’t be against putting them in again. Downside today was Dobson and Power in the middle. Could embleton not have started instead of Dobson. The back up keeper is horrendous. Not fussed we are out of the zafa cup though.

Shortly the 'well at least we can now concentrate on the league' posts will start 😎

That IS a small positive about the result.
Getting knock out 'nice and early' brings an early and full spotlight on PP and league results.
There's only one aim this season - promotion.

And here we are just out of October and all eyes will be on the league performances and the league results.

This early exit brings us one match closer to that spineless clown getting sacked.

Are you happy with how things are currently going, mate? I can't recall you being so antagonistic in the past, like. What's changed?
How am I being antagonistic? People are wailing and gnashing their teeth, demanding the blood of the manager's first born when in reality it was a poor performance by our 2nd string in a competition no-one is arsed about. Yes it was disappointing and no-one likes lose football matches, but people need to put it in context. It's one game. We've played 14 times tis season and this was our 2nd defeat.

Ive watched nearly every game this season and haven't seen us put in a performance yet that looks like that of a promotion winning team. Please don't use the excuse that that was our second string, that team should have easily been good enough to beat the team lying 91st in English football and winless since March. In 55 years of supporting the Lads that defeat is the worst at home and yet you just dismiss it as though it's meaningless, we plummet new depths every season and all people want to do is shrug their shoulders and say " well we're a League 1team playing in League 1 " as though that's all we should expect. At least on this day the world is a better place for the defeat of Donald J Trump. FTM

The big worry today is that the 2ns string isn't good enough. And Dobson + Power are sometimes even first string.

It's not just this game I'm talking about. You've been going on at people for at least the last few games from what I've seen. We've been shite and clung to a couple of arguably undeserved victories in recent weeks. People have every right to be concerned. We will start to lose games if this level of performance continues, it's as clear as the nose on your face. I don't know how you can't see trouble on the horizon. Look at the Portsmouth capitulation, for example.

You get what you deserve in games. It's amazing how many times people like you are saying we "clung on to......undeserved victories" and give no credit to the team or the manager, yet when we lose (only twice this season) it's ALL the manager's fault. You don't know that we will "start to lose games" because these performances have given us more wins than defeats.

It's not great to watch and their are definite concerns (lack of goals, lack of decent cover for wide players, lack of creativity in midfield) but we are winning far more games than we are losing. Every defeat gets put under the microscope, ever win simply brushed aside as "lucky" or "undeserved".

I prefer to see the wider context - a team that is winning and is averaging more than 2 points per game. Ultimately, at this stage of the season, that is all that matters........
