There was a thread bumped from the day he was appointed and someone listed his finishes as a manager - 13th, 15th, 18th, 17th, 11th, 8th etc. effectively showing that his record was average to poor and expressing surprise that we went for him. The view was, well his record is not great but he's a good coach. Last year he got a lot out of Wyke to his credit, at the moment O'Nien is underperforming, Gooch is under performing, Cirkin has gone backwards etc. He's definitely not getting the players to play to their potential. Add into the utter shapelessness of today and tuesday. He played a 3 man midfield on Tuesday and the got the team going long an bypassing the midfield. Today I would defy anyone to explain what the plan was.

So, you have said before he's a talented coach. Well I would ask based on what? We simply aren't seeing anything from him and it just gets me thinking of phrases like Emperor's new clothes or thinking he talks Champions League and delivers Conference standards. I'm not trying to be funny or arsey but I just can't see why he got the job and what his strengths are.

The lack of promotion isn't the be all and end all, but I agree that you'd like someone has some experience of it. I've been wondering this week whether he'd benefit from having Gary there around the training ground on a day-to-day basis. Torquay are struggling and he might have reached the end of the road as a manager himself, but he was a very good manager in his day and knows what it takes to get teams promoted.

We have been hammered a few times recently. Not just beaten but absolutely paggered.

Then that performance today … some of those players simply couldn’t give a toss. So little effort it was a disgrace.

I have been a critic of Johnson but Im not too concerned about getting beat today. Promotion is priority.

However, with results in recent weeks we needed a performance but we certainly didnt get that today and given the standard of the opposition this is very worrying.

Perhaps supporters who have had a go at us who have been questioning Johnson will now reign back on some of their comments?

Defeats and a number of hammerings against Portsmouth, Rotherham, Charlton, Sheff Wed and now Mansfield is simply not good enough. If Im a 'child' for thinking this Ill accept the criticism eh @Sweeper?

History will tell you that when someone is brought in to assist like that it is the beginning of the end. He's either up to it or not. Bringing in his Dad would be a disaster.He's actually quite experienced now, he asked for his players, he asked for a full pre-season. It really is now down to Lee Johnson and today's post match interview was, in my view, concerning. He looks spooked.

The manager, the players, the club in general don`t seem to realise how completely pissed off this performance leaves us fans . Roasted at Rotherham. Wacked at Wednesday and mauled by Mansfield... Absolutely terrible . At this moment in time they couldnt fight their way out of a paper bag. No more excuses accepted.

The mistake they made was keeping him when they bought the club. Last season showed us how this one was likely to pan out.

Dod you manage to find all of those people who you said were “happy” about Sunderland losing by the way? Can you show me all of these posts yet? Or was that complete and utter bullshit, as suspected?
