*~*~* Sunderland v Luton match thread *~*~*

Isn't anyone devastated by the fact we went to all that effort for absolutely zero benefit? We are still 2 points even from overhauling Burnley.
The benefit is we stay in the 4 horse race. I wouldn't be devasted but I'd be massively disappointed if we lost and started to fall too far behind the other 3. You are probably best to just at the end of the season where we finished lad as this football lark doesn't seem for you
Same here...I still think it crossed the refs mind tho
Gazza had been given a card for showing the ref the red card he had dropped on the pitch which he was returning. His hand does go to his chest pocket which is strange

Damn man that’s young, I’m mid 40’s and that was seen as quite young so..

I’m getting better tbh, had no movement below the left elbows since it happened and tbh it’s not looking like it will return, some of my physio team have pretty much said as much which is rare for them but while it’s still there I’ll have hope it returns. When in rehab they didn’t really use my left arm much, because of that the muscle deteriorated so much I have a sub luxation of the shoulder, been in a sling for nearly a year now, I also had a fall in November and broke my hand which has set me hack a bit.

I’ve just bought a robot training glove to hopefully help with the hand, it’s a simple bit of kit but feels great to feel my fingers moving again..
On a plus note I started karate with my lad and it has massively helped me mentally and physically, especially the left leg, I still have a big limp but it’s getting stronger and stronger each week, with their help.

I ll get my next belt in March as well..

Hope your daughter recovers mate, it’s tough because only folks who have had a stroke can even begin to understand how tough it can be..

💪👍
You’ve really been through it, that’s awful. Thanks for the kind words, mate. She’s just incredibly tired, dizzy and getting headaches. She was nearing the end of her probationary period at the civil service and doing really well, it’s so frustrating and life changing.

Tbh I really have been through it tbf, I also caught pneumonia in December also so was back in hospital for a week, and then they discovered thyroid issues which have just been fixed with more medication.

I really hope your daughter can get back on track, it really does knock you for fking six mind, it’s like the wind is suddenly taken out of your sails ya know? if she ever needs advice etc just gimme a pm but if she can get through this she’ll get through anything tbh..

This place 😂

It’s entirely possible that we could win every game and still stay 4th. You do realise that, don’t you. Every time we take a step forward Burnley and Sheffield United take two forward. They seem to have this ability to more than match us. No matter what we do they go even better. Everyone has been demanding that we win games. Well, we did indeed do that last night. Now, where did that get us? Remind me.

Football isn't certain. Anything can happen until it can't. If you just relax and stop wittering you'll enjoy the game a lot more.

The other way to look at it is we are still within touching distance of 3 clubs who have got the massive benefit of recent Premier League experience and the ability to retain and attract top players with the parachute payments.

There’s still a lot of games to be played all round.
