*~*~* Sunderland v Luton match thread *~*~*

Thing that really impressed me with Enzo tonight was his physicality, even though he's far from the biggest. The number of times he retained or gained possession when he probably had no right to was amazing. And against one of the most physical teams in the division.
Cracking little player he just gets better and better. Need him as a 10.

Fans or players not arsed ?
Neither were weird for me
Good performance, crowd built up a canny atomsphere as game went on
Fans. Was very tame. People around me barely celebrated the goals. Just stood and clapped. Can’t put my finger on it. Just felt weird. Felt like a lot of people were fatigued by another 8pm against another shite team.

Cracking 3 Points I have been conditioned by this place so Much that I play a friendly on last season's Fifa as the lads versus blackpool and lost 42 an imagination on this place, as the boos
e filled the stadium 🤣

A routine 2-0 win and back on track.
Credit to Sunderland, one bad result and you generally get back to winning ways quickly.
To be in a chasing pack with Leeds, Sheffield Utd and Burnley shows progress.
Leeds will win the League in my opinion. Sheffield Utd favourites for second place but it’s still achievable and points will be dropped by all 4 teams.

Think Mayenda struggles if he’s out left. Prefer him through the middle or coming in off the left flank. As much as he might be better in the middle ELF is doing fine just now
I think he struggles there’s too mate but always impacts games just feel that was more of an attacking option at the time

As usual I enjoyed the game. Still waiting for us to hammer someone but it wasn't for a lack of chances. We aren't going away quietly, a win at Leeds would make things very interesting.

Sheff Utd s fixtures are minging aswell.

They have Burnley ,Leeds and Wednesday away to play yet .

He doesn’t need it, it’s the striker on the end of his crosses that need the end product
Two good deliveries that Isidor should have done better with and was unlucky to hit the post, but other than that another largely ineffective performance from him.

Loses the ball way too often, runs into danger, shots way over, crosses going into the first defender or way overhit. The lads been poor 7 games out of 10 and we really should have a better RW to at least challenge him for his spot.
Really? He’s getting himself involved, getting into good positions, has good work rate…

Still love him and made a lot of great runs that weren't seen, always tries hard. Just think his positioning for a couple of Roberts crosses and a fair few times he just ran into a crowd of players instead of releasing it to the likes of Jobe, Enzo or Paddy.

Wasn't a great performance but was a handful and got his goal so can't complain too much.
