*~*~* Sunderland v Luton match thread *~*~*

Good win but you start to wonder that with the massive gap between us and seventh we should go for it for the next few games. We can afford to lose a few but attacking like feck, scoring a few goals and hopefully getting the wins might scare the shit out of the teams above us. Nothing ventured...? Or slow and steady?

Agreed. Soon as Mundle (And Tommy) is back it'll be time to slam our foot down on the accelerator. Two people to hit with our out ball (Maybe three if Milan is allowed a bit more time) and it's game on. Nail the play offs and full steam ahead from there.
I’ve hit new heights of typo since I had a stroke last year mind, my eyes are fked, someone quoted one of them on Saturdays match thread and I read it back 4 times and still no idea wtf I had typed

Had the same problem twenty years ago. Recovered well from the stroke and had eye surgery a while back, I don't even require specs now. Wishing you a speedy recovery mate.

Neil was class. Ballard won just about everything in the air and didn't make a single error when he passed the ball back, sideways or forward - and he had a lot of the ball and a lot of potential banana skins to step over !

Weird atmosphere tonight. Felt like nobody could be arsed mind. Routine time of not a pretty. Luton were also shite and I’d have liked us to have gone for the throat. Decided to sit back in parts again.

Anyway 3 points fuck Luton and Ha’Way the lads.
Fans or players not arsed ?
Neither were weird for me
Good performance, crowd built up a canny atomsphere as game went on

Was at the game and i really thought we were average at best. They were horrifically bad though and we could have still had a couple more goals.

I think we'll see a huge difference when mundle / watson are out wide and hopefully ELF is in the middle of the pitch. Missing that clever player in midfield to dictate our attacks

Man of the match again tonight. I think he's wasted out wide. Soon as we get a winger back he's got to be a 10 pure quality. Even managed to have an assist for Isidor LOL.
Thing that really impressed me with Enzo tonight was his physicality, even though he's far from the biggest. The number of times he retained or gained possession when he probably had no right to was amazing. And against one of the most physical teams in the division.
Thought the referee was excellent tonight
Too lenient by half for me.
