*** Sunderland v Ipswich match thread ***

Walked back into town chatting to some Ipswich fans. They were bemoaning the ref saying he was biased towards Sunderland and they got nowt off him all game!
For 80% of the match the ref seemed to be biased towards Tractor Boys . Then in the last critical 10 mins he gave us a penalty . So Ipswich had plenty of decisions in favour . They just didnt capitalise.

NUFC material will be removed from this match thread after accidental merging
I was wondering how the page count for the match thread shot up! 😂

Why not just start another one rather than messing about trying to unweave the merge?

Very welcome win and much needed points. The team worked hard enough but poor quality throughout the side today, luckily Ipswich were shite too particularly in front of goal missing 2 or 3 sitters in the first half with us riding our luck. We had a decent spell later on in the first half but with no real end product.

Johnsons comments about the forthcoming fixtures and making it to January in reasonable shape suggests there will be transfer activity.

Makes a change. Think what we take from this is officials in this league aren't biased. They're just rubbish, across the board.

I thought the penalty was the only thing he gave us the whole game. I wouldn't complain about the bookings we got but they got away with similar.
That's what I thought. I was worried our first yellow would be a red. But by half time they would have had five yellows, two from one player within 30 minutes, if they had been held to the same standard as our next worst infringement.
