The defender turned his back on the shot swinging his arm out in the process. If he’d been stronger and just faced up the shot it would have just hit him, current rules it’s a penalty.

We’ve conceded worse penalties than that.

At the minute I'm at the "never mind the quality, look at the points" part of the season.

I wanted to see so much yesterday in terms of setting up, tactics, pressing, teamwork, communication, enthusiasm and result.

I got one of them. That'll do for now!

I hope that settles a few nerves and we get our early season form back.

But we could have been talking about a 2 - 1 home loss. Thank you to Ipswich for not taking some gilt edged chances and thanks to the referee for giving that penalty. And at first glance to me that did look a penalty although other comments are noted.

Some of the results lately have been so poor that I just couldn't bring myself to comment on here. But right now, I'll take the result.

Walked back into town chatting to some Ipswich fans. They were bemoaning the ref saying he was biased towards Sunderland and they got nowt off him all game!

I hope they had a safe journey back to Norwich
