How many chances did we have at home against the third bottom team during 90 minutes?
That's quite a simplistic way of looking at it, something has changed at Charlton in the last few days that has possibly galvanised them or changed the way they play slightly. They've got a good squad as shown today. In answer to your question we had 17 shots, 5 on target and 60% possession.

Missed the first 10mins. I didn’t see either keeper make any saves. Poor performance and zero urgency
That was the performance of a team who expected to trot out and stroll it. That's down to the manager, there was zero motivation today.

Sometimes I think its a defence mechanism to avoid getting their hopes up in case they get disappointed.

Other times I think its just a habitual pattern of thinking.

Often I think its people wanting to be "first" so they can say "I told you so".
Think there is some truth to all 3 of those, but the middle one is the most interesting one. This is not a piss-take of negative people as it's very easy for your mind to get into bad habits. Fuck this is deep for Pure Football

O'Nien was the worst player on the pitch today. Terrible.
He set the pace of play and our effort right from kick off when he fannied about and quite rightly got clattered. He needs to give his heed a shake as he clearly thinks he's a cut above other players.

Tired performance I thought. Sloppy in attack. Good time for Gooch and Evans to be fit. Gooch looked bright when he came on. Weren’t great but on a different day wouldn’t have lost and could have won. Ref was absolutely atrocious.

Nothing I saw makes me worried moving forward.

I’m genuinely curious what those posters who can’t stand Johnson are going to do if he gets us promoted? Will they admit they might be wrong or just wait until we lose a game next season and be back on here wanting him sacked?

I wonder if they know how daft they look. Our form this season is very good thus far and win the games in hand we will be top/joint top. He is not “failing” by any metric except their own if being in a huff that he’s our manager.
