Sunderland not worth laughing at anymore

The football order? What does that even mean?

And I'm sure Huddersfield fans would argue about their place in your "order" - they were the first English club to win three successive titles, a feat that still hasn't been bettered.

More importantly, they're not financially fucked, are they?

Our problems stem from off the pitch. An owner that's given up, and hundreds of millions of pounds worth of debt. Nothing to do with order.

Football snobbery.

Bournemouth, Swansea, Huddersfield and Burnley are consider small clubs who don't belong in the top division.

Leeds, Forest, Sheff Wed, Sheff Utd, Wolves, Villa and us are big clubs and belong in the top division.

Every club deserves to be were they are. Just because the so-called smaller clubs are ran a lot better than the bigger clubs doesn't make a difference. Those smaller once deserve to be where they are in the order as much as we do.

Mags going ok in the Premier League.

Boro in the Championship play offs places.

Gateshead 1 game away from the FA Trophy Final.

South Shields top of their league and attracting massive gates.

Spennymoor and Blyth Spartans in the Conference North Play off places.

Hardly dying on it's arse like.
Hardly pulling up any trees either, Boro won't go up and Newcastle aren't safe.

Couldn’t give a fuck what they think. North East football is dieing on its arse.
Its not theres more to north east football than Sunderland. We look like staying in premier league, Boro could easily make play offs, Marske or Stockton are going to be in the vase final, Gateshead still have a chance to get to the Trophy final.

In a relatively short time we've gone from 5 league teams to three with Darlo having to reform and Pools well and truly in the shit.

This is so 100% spot on.

A lot are.

Bournemouth, Brighton, Huddersfield etc are currently way above their natural position in the football order.

Behave yourself.
Any teams 'natural' position is their CURRENT position

The do you referred to your comment that Sunderland get a lot of respect from other clubs.

I am mainly surrounded by Liverpool Everton Manchester United fans where I live with quite a few others thrown in.

The consensus in the main is that Sunderland has a following of decent fans and the mags are awash
(or unwashed ) with bellends.

Listen man I know there are decent mag fans, I cannot help what other fans think of yees ;)

Just been out for a bday do up in newcastle and overheard a table of mags next to us talking about our situation and saying we weren’t even worth laughing at anymore, comes to something when even the mags have given up on taking the piss out of us
Quite right. We're now not even in the same game - we're at the "pity" level now.

its that bad.

Bollocks.
We're about to hit the 3rd tier without even a wimper. It'll be the lowest point in our entire history - our lowest ever league finishing position (bar winning the old 3rd division).

And unlike that time, I've absolutely no reason to believe we will bounce back up.

Agreed. But don't think for one second the mags pity us. They're still as obsessed as ever, desperate for us to drop.

I think you lads are just bitter that when you go on holiday, and people ask where you are from and you say Sunderland, the blank look in their expression shows they have never heard of you.
This forces you to follow it up with "it's a town near Newcastle" to which they smile broadly with a big thumbs up and shout "Geordies"
I can see why this would irk you to some extent and goes a long way to explain the symptoms of little man syndrome that you lot constantly demonstrate.

(just joking by the way in case you didn't know, a bit of returned banter)

I meant in general - we are a club to be pitied now, rather than having a laugh at another team for getting relegated.

Bit like when Portsmouth fell - at first it was funny because a lot of people thought they'd clearly over spent and got what they deserved - then you realised it was much much worse than that.

You don't want to say that when you're abroad they will look even more vacant. If they haven't heard of Sunderland they will not have heard of Durham.

As far as talking bollocks goes I did say I was joking so that kind of implies I wasn't being serious........or was I

If they're so geographically challenged they won't have heard of Newcastle either. From my time abroad and working down South their are plenty think Newcastle is in Scotland :lol:
