I'm 33 as well, and the game I grew up with is one where people shouted at soft players for being "poofs". I'm glad it's changed, even if you haven't.

Sadly, I still hear it at the match in 2025, although much, much less than I did in 2005.

Just had a vision of someone shouting that at the ground and the people next to them began shaking their head and tutting. Then the ones next to them, and the ones next to them and so on. Like a Mexican Wave of head-shaking and tutting. :lol:

A lad who sits near me called a man out for calling Chris Rigg a ‘puff’, I was too far away to hear the rest of the conversation but there was obviously a bit of an argument as a few minutes later one of our players went down and the man’s kid who must have only been about 5 called another one of our players a ‘puff’.

Was really sad to see, and shows how kids are impacted by the parents.

A person doesn’t have to be a leftist to be outraged when their football club appoints a self proclaimed fascist as its head coach. I’d say they just have to be a normal level headed decent person of sound moral principles.

It's global woke capitalist so yes its socially far-left. Ladies and Gents this is exactly why I struggle to identify with SAFC anymore. It no longer represents the local, it represents the global.
 
Interesting thing on radio 4 today about organisations and their " Woke" ( their word) PR in the wake of Trumps pulling the diversity budget . Lots of big companies becoming early adopters in dropping diversity agendas . I wouldnt be surprised if the 'agenda' has reached its zenith.
Just a shame the boards closing as watching the astonishment and hasty realignment would be class . The SMB over the years has been a right study of getting ducks in a row as the wind blows 😄
