Correct...

People seem to think its ok to blame Liverpool fans for turning up on mass without tickets, we have done the same at loads of grounds.

Blokes, women, kids and families turned up at Hillsborough without tickets and contributed to the problems outside the turnstiles.

Fuck all to do with hooliganism
.

Why were there fences up then?

No argument on Athens. I was there witnessed it first hand and the behaviour of some fans was nothing short of disgraceful.

Again there were lots of other factors including the 'check points'. You could just wave anything and it worked. Also the way the club distributed the tickets was out of order and due to the ridiculous allocation thousands missed out. Forgeries were rife and many people chanced it.

A Sunderland fan and friend of mine, who posts on here, went to Heysel with some Liverpool mates from the Nottingham area. Until then he didn't have any problem in going to the odd match with them.

After he returned he declared a hatred for many Liverpool fans that still burns today. He was disgusted by the behaviour of some of the Liverpool fans and said they were like animals.

It's hard to believe that, at Hillsborough, there were no ticketless fans, no forgeries, no bad behaviour from the same people capable of Athens and Heysel .......... in fact, I don't believe it.

The people who stormed the gates were rank and file Pool fans or hooligans using a hooligan technique for free entry?

you are a prick. the organisation by the police was shit. possibly some people where there without tickets, have you never gone to an all ticket game without one?

This prick sorted you a Wolves ticket and trusted you to transfer £38 .
And no, I have never went to an all ticket game without a ticket.

if you count people not paying as hooligans then aye

So the ones who went to do this were families and kids etc? They would intimidate the police and stewards for free entry eh!

This could go on forever, in fact the arguments have gone on since that day, so this is my last word on it.

It's not possible that there were no Liverpool hooligans at Hillsborough, it's not possible that there were no fans without tickets and it's not possible that the fans were absolutely blameless.

That can be said about almost every major Sunderland away game that I've ever been to and there's been occassions where it could have all gone badly wrong ....... I'm not saying that Liverpool fans caused all the problems but I don't believe they were blameless either.

nah theyre not blameless but without such shit management it wouldnt have happend. i think of hooliganism as violence and havent seen any signs of it at hillsbrough

No, you did send the money but I did it all on trust. Now I am a prick. Fuck you TS.

I can't believe someone who went to the matches in the 80s is saying this. Every away game I went to in that time......people turned up late....pissed......with all sorts going on beforehand.

There is no proof whatsoever that Liverpool fans did anything more than turn up late (or was it late? did the crush not start outside around half 2? I mean the match doesn't start til 3 for fuck's sake) after spending a few hours in the pub....fuck me...that was done up and down the country then.

I'm curious...what were Liverpool fans doing that was so disgusting? Getting pissed in the sun? Pissing in the fountains? Abusing the locals? Yeah you wouldn't have caught SAFC doing that if we ever played in Europe in the 80s? Right? Is it fuck.

Oh and the ticketless fans and forgeries is a red herring....because there was enough room in that end if they'd have been directed to the end pens once the gates opened. The police or stewards didn't do their jobs and fuck knows they should have done with all the practice they had with unruly football fans at that time.

And turning up at 2.30? Well the match doesn't start til 3 for fuck's sake.....

In sum:

The crush started before 3 and Liverpool fans were under no obligation to turn up at any time before 3.

There was room in the end pens if the police and stewards had done their jobs right.

If that was a business that managed its customers like that.....someone would have been done for corporate manslaughter.
