i think the biggest with man utd at the SOL was in 2000, hundreds, maybe a thousand confronted man utd coming over the bridge iirc. absoloute hell on and a season or 2 later they got a kicking near the vaux site, i think one of them was quite badly hurt. theres trouble pretty much everytime we play man utd at the SOL but those 2 were the biggest scale.
last season for example there was little bits of bother in the town and near the ground then apparently man utd got absoloutley battered in a pub after the game, i think it was the hastings but not sure.

thats the game a 3ft wide cloth thing seperated us and it had kicked off before the match then the last 15mins it started to kick off again if im correct..

might have dreamt it but i think it spilled onto the pitch a bit at one stage and the goal was damaged?

The coppers pretty much have it under control in and around the grounds these days so i suppose it depends what your definition of large scale is.

I would say the worst ive seen at SOL was with the mags, i think the first time we played them there. They were getting escorted over the bridge, don't think it was a massive crowd of them either. A few of them were on the floor with with coppers and dogs on top of them. One or two of our lads trying to get at them. Not exactly hell on but would be if there was no police presence. In the same way it will be on Oct 31st when i'll be safely marched up to the ground without incident. Yet im sure some will report it as full-scale riots :roll:

Aye a 1000 did gather matey but think by time police came out 3/4 if not more legged it soon as the coppers waded in few lads just wernt phased by the coppers. As for the mags watch if your going by train police will stitch you up. large scale now aint much really just numbers of kids chanting and some lads wanting to scrap
 
blackpool mid 70s man utd turned up and joined them in a lacashire mob hell on all game in their spion kop...things getting thrown back and forth all game plenty to throw all so as it was a hill at the back

We befriended a Derby lad the day of England v Scotland at euro96, dropped him off in Derby on the sunday and drank in his local.

Was a bit of a heed the ball.

Had bother with Derby a few times,I remember the day when we beat them 5-0 and there was hell on before the match in some subway near Pride Park.This big black fucker(Derby lad) took a canny beating like,claret all ower the shop.
 
To sum up sland are mentioned in hooli books probally more from the early days vauxies etc as far as results go both sides will say they got the result no one admits anything just the way it is.....:roll:

Which is pretty much everything im trying to get at. 1000 thousand apparently gathered then most fucked off when the police came :roll:. Nothing to brag about on a forum.
There may be isolated incidents of violence but a large gathering of charvers chanting "who are ya" protected by the police doesn't constitute hell on. Pretty much what you said.
As for the mags game, as long as i walk up within the corden ill be fine. They'll have to try pretty hard to stitch me up.
