What a f***ing stupid pointless thread.

I Disagree, a lot of posts reflect what happened in the past, it now forms part of the history of the club and it's supporters .

We cannot turn the clock back on history or what happened in previous years.

If you said football related violence was stupid and pointless , not many would disagree with you.

You can thank the thick headed bastards, you're waxing lyrical about
on this thread for the all seater stadiums, they were a great mob ..;-) enjoy.

all seater stadiums are for business, to attract corporates, middle class families etc. theyd happen with or without hooligans

All seater stadia were a direct result of the dickwads you look up to, because of their thick headed behaviour at football matches, places like Hillsborough and heysel spring to mind, but there were many others, health and safety reasons, pure and simple, nothing what so ever to do with corporates, or middle class families. thank your Heroes for all the stewards and alcoholic drink bans inside the grounds.

Nah they just thought they could re brand the game (the premier league)...for the working class masses. Yet at the same time price the working class out. Someone has seriously fucked up with their business plan if thats the case.

So how come ive just been to Germany in the summer to an all seater ground with standing facilities? It's bollocks about standing in seats, how many disasters have there been been because of people standing in seats?
Oh and hillsborough was caused by hooligans? Nowt to do with the sheer incompetence of the police that day then?

Totally wrong marra Hillsborough was caused by police incompetence and security fences, what most people forget is that there were no deaths due to pitch invasions and yet because of the fences to prevent them there were almost 200 and the Bradford disaster was in a seated if there'd been security fences erected there because of "dickwads" the death toll there would have been horrendous.
All seater stadiums are a f***ing con.

standing had nothing to do with hillsborough, neither did hooligans.

the police let too many in and the big fence penning fans in were the two main causes.

you can still get over crowding even if its all seater. many man utd aways have more fans than seats and when we played down tranmere there was around 800 - 1k more supporters than seats (fortunately, on this occasion the authorities let some of our lot spill over into the empty home stand to our right hand side).

I think it's fair to say that an element of both was involved. Very few things in matters such as these are black & white, yet most the discussions that go on about it, you'd think the colour grey never existed.

You're right. Hooligans had nothing to do with Hillsborough, its used as an excuse by f***ing idiots... they will argue crowd trouble forced clubs to put the fences up. Load of bollocks.

Germany have it spot on over there.

 I know! but the truth is the "Dickwads" provided the perfect excuse
for the authority's to do what the fuck they wanted, as for Hillsborough
Do you really believe the Scouse supporters had nothing at all to do with the disaster, do you believe that the all walked in nice and polite?
I've been at home games at Roker, where thick ***** have pushed their way out at the end, almost trampling kids in the process, luckily nothing happened, threads like this, glorifying pricks are f***ing senseless
the wankers that went about in the 70's causing trouble, were just that "WANKERS"

hillsbrough had nowt to do with hooligans and heysel wouldnt have got more than 10 minutes on the news if the stadium wasnt falling to bits, heysel has fuck all to do with all seaters either

Of course they did but it didn't involve hooligans. Too many fans, including families ! turning up without tickets etc..

Hillsborough was a combination of events and mistakes but to suggest it was because of hooligans is absolutely f***ing stupid.

Liverpool fans, at the time, had an arrogance that's evident in Man Utd these days ........ they believed they could turn up at any ground and 'scally their way in' without tickets, intimidate the police and stewards by sheer numbers and act as if they owned the ground.

I used Hillsborough as an example of a mentality, that parallels the hooligan
mentality, i'm not f***ing blinkered or looking back through rose tinted specks
at the good old days, like I said, I've seen the same mentality at Roker
thank God no one was injured, it could have easily have happened.
But eh!! we all live in Danny Dyer wonderland!!
anyway I'm off to watch MOTD that's all I have to say on the subject.

Thank you, you put it so much better than me.

Sounds like us going to grounds in the lower divisions?

Don't know what point you're trying to make, Danny Dyer is a twat.

Yeah, pretty much like York, Aldershot, Chesterfield, Northampton, Southend, Bury etc which turned out OK but could have turned nasty .......... a certain series of coincidences can sometimes have dreadful results, like Hillsborough.
