Were people quiet?I went to see 2:22 A Ghost Story last night.
It was entertaining enough, but no scares just the same repetitive jump shocks which you soon got used to.
Yeah it was a pretty good audience. You could hear a bit of post jump comedown type chatter during the transitions, but as soon as the actors were on stage it was quiet when it was meant to be, and laughter when it was intended. Were people quiet?
We were there last night, we both enjoyed it , the wife got caught out a few times, it great to see the empire putting on some great shows.Yeah it was a pretty good audience. Oscar winning performanceIn the 60’s some schools used to have speech day award celebrations at the Empire. I was at monkey house at the time.
Anyway one year ( iirc 3rd year) I absolutely aced every exam I sat and was awarded the school prize for academic achievement to be awarded by mayor of the day.
Anyway my name was called and I sauntered down the aisle, climbed the narrow steps onto the stage and promptly stotted my head on the corner of an electrical junction box. Blood started pi$$ing out, I was staggering walking towards mayor ( I could hear the odd gasp and guffaw from audience ) but was determined to give it the ‘ felt nowt hard man ‘ look.
Them were the days
Mary Poppins is class..took my Niece to see it in London..loved it.Got dragged to see Mary Poppins last night (not particularly my type of thing), I actually quite enjoyed it, everyone else absolutely loved it, the cast were fantastic like.
Now I'm a bit tight when it comes to buying drinks etc in places like this, £3.20 for a bottle of still watta, and £4.85 for the smallest tub of ice cream I've seen.
