    Not WDSC!!!:evil::evil::evil:
Got my bill in for next year's allotment rent today.
    From £52 last year 2018/19 to £84 for 2019/20.

A total fucking disgrace - over 60% hike!!!
I will have to get onto the fuckers on Monday to sort this out.

  4. I've had one since I was in my 20s man. Been making raised beds with my 7 year old all day. Great being out in the fresh air and plenty of food for the Brexit Armageddon

    Mines gone up a tenner.

£84 a year seems pretty reasonable tbh.

Thought it would cost 5 or 6 times that amount.

Sunderland council thinking will probably be, if we raise the prices the lad will become vacant and we can give it to gentoo to make overpriced houses

Or split them into smaller plots to give a few more council tax payers a go....

  11. No chance of the fuckers being tidied up and painted then.

    And the allotments either.

Have you seen the waiting list for an allotment? You fill a dead man's shoes when you get one.

If one becomes available it should be halved...

I was going to say: do you not have a garden. Then I realised the point of having an allotment.

It's the principle of the thing though marra.
I have just checked my tenancy agreement, which states that the yearly rise will be limited to 5% - as it has done over the last 9 years.
But this 60% rise is taking the piss.
As I mentioned - I shall have a word with the council on Monday.

It's the principle of the whole thing though.
The Council do absolutely sweet F.A. towards the upkeep of the allotments- it is up the tenants.
The gadgey who used to come round and spray the weeds around the perimeter fences even got paid -off, and I have only seen the Allotment Officer once in 9 years.
By the way, I can well afford it marra, but that's not the point.
    - But the widow who has the next allotment to me has next to fuck all - so she's well pissed off - extra money she can ill-afford.

    I'd be annoyed.

Although in my experience when someone is complaining for the principle of the thing they are normally hitching over something that doesn't really matter.

That’s a shocking rise, however £84 for what is the size of a small farm is still a decent rate
