What a terrible impression it gives visitors both inside and externally coming to Sunderland.What a carbuncle.Sunderland deserves better.

Let's be honest the train station is an absolute disgrace. I live in a town with a population of 15,000 whose station has better facilities on offer than those at sunderland. It has a fecking toilet for starters.

Seen photos of the old station and it is shocking had badly it has regressed.

You never know, the £100m deal that Sunderland Council secured yesterday might spur Network Rail and Northern Rail into upgrading the station.

Why, the station is operated by Nexus which is funded by the regional councils, including Sunderland.

Also, Coventry train station looks like something from the former Soviet union.

I was there about a month ago, whilst bad, it's still better than ours.

The council got the money for the new bridge from the DoT, so are they not responsible for that either?
