- You're negative about everything
- I can't believe you expect us to compete with
London, Manchester, Hull, Coventry- We have great plans
You only get one chance to make a first impression, surely all city train stations have toilets?
Should be looking for the network rail lovers tbh.
You never know, the £100m deal that Sunderland Council secured yesterday might spur Network Rail and Northern Rail into upgrading the station. Also, Coventry train station looks like something from the former Soviet union.
Why, the station is operated by Nexus which is funded by the regional councils, including Sunderland.Should be looking for the network rail lovers tbh.
I was there about a month ago, whilst bad, it's still better than ours. Also, Coventry train station looks like something from the former Soviet union.
Wrong. Owned by network rail, ran by northern rail. Why, the station is operated by Nexus which is funded by the regional councils, including Sunderland.
You hate Sunderland tho. Don't remember anyone defending the state of the train station mind.Where are all the council lovers.???
I'll respond on their behalf.

"Nexus, the operator of the Tyne & Wear Metro, announced a £7 million refurbishment of the 140-metre platform areas at Sunderland in 2006."Wrong. Owned by network rail, ran by northern rail.
“While Nexus does not own or manage the station (it is owned by network rail and managed by northern) it said it wanted to invest as the major operator."Nexus, the operator of the Tyne & Wear Metro, announced a £7 million refurbishment of the 140-metre platform areas at Sunderland in 2006."
It’s owned by network rail mate in conjunction with Northern"Nexus, the operator of the Tyne & Wear Metro, announced a £7 million refurbishment of the 140-metre platform areas at Sunderland in 2006."
So we agree Nexus are involved in improvements to the station and the Nexus are funded by the council?“While Nexus does not own or manage the station (it is owned by network rail and managed by northern) it said it wanted to invest as the major operator.
Bu Nexus fund improvements. It’s owned by network rail mate in conjunction with Northern
And nexus got the money from the DoT not the council. Good to see we’ve got that ironed out.So we agree Nexus are involved in improvements to the station and the Nexus are funded by the council?
And 7M for the last 'upgrade' we didn't get much for that. That dodgy light wall and ermmm...??? Your jollies to visit other train stations no doubt?
Bu Nexus fund improvements.
So are you saying the council have no influence over Nexus? And nexus got the money from the DoT not the council. Good to see we’ve got that ironed out.
