Thought the keeper in the 1st half was the better more vocal one. Made a hash of the bounce for one of the goals mind but didn’t realise he was 15. Dajaku who is becoming a hate figure on here was there watching along with Ba and DN. I know DN is a Hebburn lad but fair play to the other 2.

It's a good test to mix the years about and realise the physicality of blokes on a night match. Yeah both 15, errors and judgement will always happen especially at that age. We have a 17 keeper year old on loan too for good experience.

Big test for a young team. They certainly now know what it’s like to be tackled, they wouldn't have come across that at academy level. A lot of it was hard and fair though. Wouldn’t say there was any real stand out players in the SAFC line up. No.14 (apparently from Hebburn) the CB who came on for the 2nd half looked canny and composed on the ball. No.9 looked lively in the 2nd half. The stand out young player for me was Hebburns no.11 (won the pen). Very athletic, caused all sorts of problems in the 1st half with his pace and strength. By all accounts he doesn’t normally get a game. Was shocked when I got told he’s only 17.

To be fair this has been the “ complaint or reasoning “given why we keep losing for several seasons now -“ oh they are younger than everyone else’s young uns or they are not as big yet “.
If we continually get out muscled we need to address it ..
Same as central midfield in the first team -how long have we cried out for a big strong central midfielder to dominate the physicality and give the ball to the undoubted talent we have .

It was 15 /16/17 year olds against fully grown man on the whole from all accounts. It’s clear why they would struggle physically.

If the hebburn twitter account was right that was Harrison who got took down for the penalty. Just been released from Blackpool. He will be a touch older than 17

My point wasn’t particularly about yesterday but more the last few seasons -thats why I said “several seasons “ .
Going all the way back to Unsworths Everton title winning side -was “ well it’s men against boys “ -it’s a bit of a theme that other clubs seem to have bigger more powerful lads to dominate the game - not sure why was my general point

He’s 17 apparently. Was told by his dads mate. Doesn’t look it.

Watched Dan Cameron the other day, he was awful, maybe a bad day but just watch these goals he let in for West Auckland,

Nice write up. I’ve been best mates with his Dad all my life and of course watched Zak coming up with interest. He’s not only very dedicated but an absolutely cracking young lad in every way. I really hope he can follow in the footsteps of the likes of Hendo and (hopefully with us!) have massive success. Too many Bellends at the top level. More younguns like him needed. Go on lad!

That's class. Attitude is so important to set yourself out across the rest. Sounds like he definitely has that. He will be a great role model already to the younger academy kids too. Coaches will obviously know that. Really hope he has a fantastic career!

Huge step up from playing around your own age at academy football. Deep end in North East football was that! Ooof. 😬😂

All about the experience and learning from it of course. Sure Prud will have some feedback for him 😂

To his credit he did make an excellent match saving save

Definitely this. Tough life a young keeper.

Believe he was at Red star before this loan. Great exposure for him and also really good we have relations with the clubs the lads can experience this. Bond at Shildon. Still have 3 keepers covering bench and 21s.

Carney or Richardson next for a loan?

Definitely Carney. He's at the age where he needs a good run of senior football.

I'd like to see Richardson be no.1 u21 keeper this season with a decent loan move next

I was there on Tuesday night he also dropped a couple of crosses aswell. Looked miles away
