I went for a curry with a Canadian lad in South Shields years ago he had chicken madras with chips and asked for tomato sauce for his chips.

Long story mate my then partner and her mate made up the foursome and for reasons too complicated for here we were out in Shields.

The Bengal restaurant at the end of Ocean Road, long gone now.
