Stocks n Shares ISA

I’ve got a couple of Cash ISA’s and am looking to invest in a S&S when the new tax year kicks in.
In view of the current world climate can I open a new Cash ISA and change it at any point to a S&S one ? (I know I can only use the maximum 20k allowance)

You can currently just do an isa transfer so you dont lose the allowance. From April 27 you wont be able to transfer from s&s to cash due the redection in cash allowance

Best not to put money you may need in the short or even medium term in one. You’d be better with an open access cash isa.

S&S are invest and forget ISA’s.
It depends what you buy. An ISA is just a tax free ‘wrapper’.

You could e.g. have an allocation of 60% equities, 20% short term bonds, 20% gold if your investment horizon is 5 years.
