Loved your music back in the 70’s. Human Menagerie album still sounds as fresh as when it was released back in 73.
Last seen him about 5 years ago with Cockney Rebel mk 3 and a full orchestra playing the first two albums in full, a magical evening.

Seen him quite a few times including at the Fire Station in June. He always put on a great show. There's some under-appreciated gems in his solo work which deserve a wider audience. Very sad.

Not that gig, that was in 2013 when they recorded it for dvd.
We went to the one the following year in 2014 when Steve Norman from Spandeau Ballet was doing the flamboyant percussion stuff. That was 10 years ago …… time flies when ye get owld ffs

Mr Raffles (man it was mean) is one of my all time favourite songs.
Had the pleasure of chatting with Steve after his solo gig in Inverness in the 90's. Didn't disappoint.

Despite the great bands of the 70s whenever I hear this song it reminds me of that decade,,,being 18, crazy, in love for the first time. having mates you'd die for, and all the promise and fear the future held.

Best years of our lives they were indeed.

Used to listen to him on Sounds of the 70s on Radio 2 back in the day. He had a real passion for music and was very knowledgeable. A sad loss. RIP
