Statement of Fact

Good morning.

Whatever people think of our team, the club, we ARE the best supported team in the whole of the EFL. Next season at a guess depending on how we are doing our average home attendance will be around a staggering 34k to 36k, the next club average attendance will be circa 27k…. So with that fact in mind what’s my point.

KLD and his family are multi, multi billionaire’s, he is the single largest shareholder over a huge football club with enormous potential, probably fair to say more potential than any club outside the PL. So I would ask what is KLD’s real intent, he can take full control of the club for £12m to £15m ( I fully understand the fact that he doesn’t need to because with YS 20% support he has control anyway) but if he is absolutely serious about wanting to take this club forward my simple question to him is why not pay it and own the club outright?

He witnessed at Wembley the level of support we generate, he is smart enough to recognise that with further investment (and yes it could be major) but if we got promoted his investment and more would be returned if he ever wanted to sell. Is KLD just playing with this? You will recall he said at RAWA meeting in March he wants to increase his stake…. Well please do it then, get them out of this club, the longer this goes on you have to imagine it will have a negative effect on who AN wants to bring in to make us at least a top half championship team next season.

KLD has the opportunity to become a legend with this club, sadly I remain to be convinced he is totally committed despite his recent comments, if he can’t or doesn’t want to invest in the potential of our great club, then please look to sell it to someone who does.

As for D&M it is absolutely incredulous and utterly disgusting on them that they would consider selling to anyone despite the potential of any long term risk to the club and to us as supporters……You should be ashamed.
Our quoted attendances are based on all season ticket holders being present at every game. When you sell season tickets to U16s for £48, what percentage of season ticket holding kids are there on a wet cold match day in November if the team are struggling?

Parents buying such cheap tickets for their children will not be bothered in the slightest if they attend. The cost is written off the day such a ticket is bought.

It is great that the club make watching football so accessible to young kids and how often they attend is irrelevant. But having a pissing contest about who can attract the biggest crowds is just nonsense.

I would suggest most of our home attendance figures are inflated by at least 5k. There again, so what does it matter.

As would any business man. Nothing at all to be ashamed about. The club to them is nothing but an asset

So basically your statement is not one of FACT but one of OPINION
You're guessing. He may have thought that to start with, but he may have become more emotionally involved since arriving. Gaining promotion can do that.

I'm not too bothered about what goes on behind the scenes as long as the new manager is given financial backing.

They won't be. In fact, they strike me as the opposite and would take pleasure in it, providing they get their money.

Pretty sure he didn't state he wanted to buy more shares, iirc he said to the effect of if they're giving them away for free.

It doesn’t matter how big your crowds are, it’s how big you are commercially the knars
Was going to say the same thing. Local support is worth peanuts in modern football. TV money and commercial deals made possible through global brand management have changed football completely.

We are in a hurry. I suspect KLD is not. This year must be a building year, keep us up and build.
He will want us in the Premier League but not to be relegated at the first attempt. He is building, slowly admittedly.
It’s his first shot at it, he will learn many things every day.
We all will. No one knows how we will do next season.
Give him a chance.
Let’s hope Speakman lives up to his early hype and gets things right.

And where did I mention that they should be ashamed?? I have said in around about way what you are saying.....

Also, you're right my statement is one of opinion..... as is your 'statement'. Now toodle off Charlie Boy
My statement is also an opinion but probably also fact. To totally misquote Monty Python, he's not Charlie boy and neither is my wife.
Statement of fact : tottenham are the only team who arent called something in their name. Spurs
Alreet Davey?

I don’t think KLD has done a lot wrong

The dodgy transfer window in January was more to do with Speakmann than KLD

KLD has been fairly quiet which I see as a good thing. He attends games so it’s clear he cares and I think he “gets it” and it’s under his skin

The biggest consideration that gives me hope that he is in it for the long haul and wants to create something special is that he’s already a billionaire so I wouldn’t say he needs to make money out of this

Stewart and Methven were / are in it for themselves but I think KLD has better intentions

D&M are business men, they're not bothered about us, they just care about profit.

Reading between the lines of other views on here, it appears to me as though KLD has yet received his 'billions'. Something that want be made available to him until he is 25. Maybe this has something to do with it. He may seek new investment until that day arrives.
Or he’s not stupid enough to go all in.

Maybe he thinks they’re overvaluing their share and won’t be held to ransom.

We will likely never know

All this talk about biggest club is of no interest to me. It is something that lot up the road thrive on but not us.
Look at you lot.
Not a game played yet and you’s are waving your c*cks around spouting off you’re the biggest club in the Championship- this after coming 5th in League One at the 4th attempt!!

You call the Geordies deluded ?

Have a good hard look in the mirror as you’re going to have a rough time up here with the “inferior” clubs !!!!
