Our quoted attendances are based on all season ticket holders being present at every game. When you sell season tickets to U16s for £48, what percentage of season ticket holding kids are there on a wet cold match day in November if the team are struggling?Good morning.
Whatever people think of our team, the club, we ARE the best supported team in the whole of the EFL. Next season at a guess depending on how we are doing our average home attendance will be around a staggering 34k to 36k, the next club average attendance will be circa 27k…. So with that fact in mind what’s my point.
KLD and his family are multi, multi billionaire’s, he is the single largest shareholder over a huge football club with enormous potential, probably fair to say more potential than any club outside the PL. So I would ask what is KLD’s real intent, he can take full control of the club for £12m to £15m ( I fully understand the fact that he doesn’t need to because with YS 20% support he has control anyway) but if he is absolutely serious about wanting to take this club forward my simple question to him is why not pay it and own the club outright?
He witnessed at Wembley the level of support we generate, he is smart enough to recognise that with further investment (and yes it could be major) but if we got promoted his investment and more would be returned if he ever wanted to sell. Is KLD just playing with this? You will recall he said at RAWA meeting in March he wants to increase his stake…. Well please do it then, get them out of this club, the longer this goes on you have to imagine it will have a negative effect on who AN wants to bring in to make us at least a top half championship team next season.
KLD has the opportunity to become a legend with this club, sadly I remain to be convinced he is totally committed despite his recent comments, if he can’t or doesn’t want to invest in the potential of our great club, then please look to sell it to someone who does.
As for D&M it is absolutely incredulous and utterly disgusting on them that they would consider selling to anyone despite the potential of any long term risk to the club and to us as supporters……You should be ashamed.
Parents buying such cheap tickets for their children will not be bothered in the slightest if they attend. The cost is written off the day such a ticket is bought.
It is great that the club make watching football so accessible to young kids and how often they attend is irrelevant. But having a pissing contest about who can attract the biggest crowds is just nonsense.
I would suggest most of our home attendance figures are inflated by at least 5k. There again, so what does it matter.
