Who takes over? Stokes probably but would worry about his workload maybe Buttler

not sure tbh, there is always someone like, be surprised how quickly the narrative changes

massive year, someone will emerge
Where did they get this ball from.....2 crackers

this lad was underbowled like, I thought that yesterday, decent pace.

England a batsman light in this team like

Curran is just not gonna bowl like lets be honest, may as well play a batsman.
Micky Arthur cracks me up like

bit dodgy that mind, change the ball and a wicket with the first t2 balls!
what an innings

England's lead only 37 with out it for context

Leach ahead of wood and broad.
bit of a cock up this, doesnt matter like lets be honest

However, in India will need bigger scores than this
remember last time we got something like 450 and still lost by an innings

Stokes and pope for Curran and ?
Think our seam bowler or bowlers will be crucial to get right in India last two times we were successful Anderson and Flintoff both did a fantastic job

Curran and Lawrence you'd think

Probs go with 2 spinners unless there is no spin

Not bad for someone on here who said he would always be remembered as an underachiever.

Find the disrespect for Sri Lanka quite absurd.

Yes, this isn’t their strongest side. But in the last 20 years they have had Murali, Sangakkara, Jayawardene, Jayasuriya, Vaas, Attapatu, Herath, Matthews

they’re not San Marino ffs, they have had some top players.

people forget England in the 80s and early 90s

It was a stupid comparison like. South Africa currently in a bit of a trough but it's not that long ago they were the number one team in the world.
It can't be too long after lunch that the declaration will be made, though I'd like to see Sri Lanka make a fight of it.

The conditions have probably caught the hosts out as well as England. I can't remember Galle looking so cool and damp at this time of year.

Let's see what Sam Curran can do.

A 225+* would be great for the average.

Not bad for someone on here who said he would always be remembered as an underachiever.

I wish I could under-achieve that much.
