My Nana’s very elderly cousin actually called one out to her house because she was convinced she was seeing ghosts.

Naturally when we heard about this we made sure we were at house, partly for a good laugh but mainly to make sure he didn’t rip her off.

Obviously a load of bollocks. Got out a set of divination rods and a psychic’s pendant to try and demonstrate there was spiritual activity in the house :lol:

The fact that she was an elderly woman struggling to manage her type 2 diabetes (causing hallucinations) who also lived with an extremely vocal budgie didn’t seem to register with him as an explanation :lol:

Anyway, they’re a load of charlatans.

Yep - as with the above - my relative was very elderly, had been widowed at a young age before having kids and never re-married.

She became progressively more lonely as friends passed away. My nana was pretty much her last friend in the world and when she went she really struggled.

Part of us wanted to tell her not to bother, but honestly what would the point have been? An argument might have upset her needlessly when the fella had quoted her a nominal sum of money. All we could do was be there and make sure he didn’t take the piss. Not like she spent her money on anything else!

And also laugh at him in the process :lol:

I understand that scenario, you were there to supervise and to make sure he wasn't rummaging through her drawers whilst trying to locate Slimer ffs :lol:.
As long as it was reasonably priced and put her at ease that's okay I guess ;) xx
