Agreed. KLD needs to show he’s got the minerals to make the big decisions. Getting a bloke to run the entire recruitment for the club when he wasn’t even that highly regarded at Birmingham ffs. We’re a shambles of a club lurching from one shite decision to another and Speakman is at the heart of all of them.
KLD doesnt run the entire recruitment

I don't actually think he's done much wrong, today was all a lack of desire and leadership. I can't even blame the coach (despite his formation, tactics, and timing of subs) as the players just couldn't be arsed.

Amount of times their right winger was not being marked in the first half was infuriating. These are grown men with eyes let alone professional footballers. Even in our sunday leagues you understand how to mark.

For fucks sake. Some threads on here!

He had to come out and calm down the Keane frenzy. He’s generally brought in decent players. you can’t fault the entire club structure for taking a bit of time to consider managerial options albeit I think it was crazy to get rid at the time we did. He also didn’t manage and pick the team today, contrary to what a lot of daft fuckers on this thread think!
He did CV pick the two stooges who did pick the team and “tactics”

I think he needs to show some urgency about the manager. The issue with the squad is they invested in players to play 4 2 3 1 because of the coaches preferred style but I think it’s proven it isn’t the right one for us. So we now have an unbalanced squad. This the problem when you get the appointment wrong/ sack coaches mid season.

we've just signed Defoe and Batth.
Evans and Pritchard aren't spring chickens
Forget the first 2. They have just arrived.

The other 2, one wasn’t fit for a significant part of the season and therefore you have 1.

My concern is he’s creating a lightweight under 23s team. Which is great, apart from the fact league one teams beat them regularly in the pizza cup

I think the idea with youth is bang on, its the best way to create value and have players with better ability than our current state.

But to suggest were going to play a high energy, high block team whilst loading the squad with lightweight technical players has always been bizarre to me.

He obviously doesn't see an issue with it as we've spent a fortune on more this January and the suggestion that the manager was moving away from our style won't help with supposed lack of plan best.

In fairness it was our usual team in the main. what Can we expect without a manager in place.
To go out and play with pride and passion, 38000 behind you and the same gutless bastards are selected from last week, should have been some tweeks and freshening up......manager or no manager, these people are supposed to be professional.
