I’d rather insert my granda into my gran than do this.
 
I'm a little puzzled by the wailing and nashing of teeth. Until the play off final, those who were positive about Speakman seemed to be a minority.
Then Ghisolfi came into a role that appeared to leave Speakman practically redundant. No one outside of the club can be entirely sure who was doing what.
However, was it Ghisolfi or Speakman who was primarily responsible for an excellent period of recruitment? Perhaps Speakman indicated that he was minded to move on? Perhaps he stayed on until Ghisolfi got settled in. Maybe he never wanted to leave at all, but KLD has decided to move forward without him. I dare say we'll get the truth somewhere down the line, but I won't be losing sleep either way.

Speakman deserves our thanks, but, just as I didn't rip him to shreds before, I'm not going to deify him now. I'm sure he'll get another job soon enough, and I wish him well.

I think if Speakman played a big part in this summers recruitment then I doubt KLD would have let him go.

I think people are jumping the gun thinking we have chased him because he’s reached his ceiling I think it’s more lightly he’s had a mega money offer from Saudi or USA
