Southampton

Sadly the Mags aren’t in Europe so I make them favourites for the league cup.

Moaning about their owners is fair it’s a state none of us like. But all owners have the tendency to be charlatans in one way or another, avoiding tax for example.

If they win their first cup since 1969 fair play. Ultimately it will just be jealousy we’re light years away from that.
Avoiding tax? Dear God. That’s your analogy/comparison?
They are owned by arguably the most despotic regime on earth, one that the USA said had a journalist dismembered in the Saudi embassy in Istanbul and which imposes death sentences on its own people for relative trivia. As for what they’ve done in the Yemen..,but they have cash and just try and buy popularity. Farcical that so many governments, including our own who allegedly pushed their sportswashing takeover of NUFC over the line, take the hypocritical stance that they do-what sort of example is that?

We have nothing to be jealous of. Our club is seemingly building nicely without any blood money. Everyone outside NUFC knows that it’s such a false scenario that has no base in fairness or dignity.

Tax avoidance isn’t the same as being owned by a state like Saudi Arabia

Russia invade Ukraine, all Russian money and assets seized.

Saudi wage war in Yemen, no restrictions imposed and we instead sell them the weapons to do it.

Al Qaeda are quietly getting on with the job in the league. No fuss, no huge ultra-expensive glamour signings.
They'll win this cup and crow on about it for years even if they win nothing else behind Manchester City.

Was gonna post id take a few saints players if we went up but thats the sort of shit that got us in l1.

Armstrong wouldnt suprise me, an ex Mowbray star.
Armstrong looked sharp when he came on. Certainly their best player when he came on.

“Jealous” ? I couldn’t give a rats arse.

Not sure how theyve stayed in the prem this long, they seem to be shit 90% of the season then go on a winning run to stay up

I get his point, but it just doesn’t compare does it?

The Newcastle saudis are total *****. Led by the coward howe. He’s just here to talk about football you know….?
Aye its total nonsense. Its like saying 'we've all done bad things so its fine... when one gas nicked a a tin of beans and the other is a mass murderer.

If Man united get through you'd still fancy them tbf. Ten Hag has them playing decent football, obviously got a canny squad, rashford in the form of his life, and even though it's only the league cup they'll be desperate for a trophy. The mags do look pretty solid, but they've had a pretty easy run to the semi. My main concern is forest putting in a performance of a life time tomorrow, similar to Southampton v City

Good side ,boring to watch imho. And I'm not just saying it because it's them. Terrible advert for the premier league that they sit 3rd currently.
I agree. The league has been so weak this year. Chelsea, Liverpool and even City have not been at their best this year. Newcastle are a good side but the fact they are third shows the league is weak this season.
