Southampton spying compendium thread

Can't help but feel sorry for Southampton, not especially for the club, but for the fans and the players who have been let down. Also think Hull have been forgotten about, not knowing who they were going to be playing until a couple of days before one of the biggest games in the clubs history, never mind their fans having to readjust to a farcical change in kick off time.

Whilst all this has being going on, and one of the harshest penalties in football handed down, we still await the outcome of 115 charges against one of the richest clubs the world, who so far have had over 3 years and counting to concoct a defence . Talk about one law for the rich and not the poor
The Southampton players must have known about it or Eckert would not have been able to exploit the knowledge gained. I bet the Southampton keeper knew who the penalty takers were and what their preferred penalty was.

As for Hull it is sickening that their owner wants a bye to get his big money. To hell with the Hull fans having a rare opportunity to see their team in a showpiece match at Wembley. Gir that reason I hope Boro beat them.

Obviously we want to win, but if Hull win then fair enough.
Think I speak for most (possibly all) Boro fans - all we wanted was a fair contest.
People moan about Gibson (and this isn't directed at you), but at least he stands up to be counted when faced wth cheats.
Can't argue with the Gibson comment.

He's a bit of a stickler for fair play and the rules. Like a ferret with a rat when it comes to defending the Burra too.

Personally, I'm glad justice has been done and your lot are in the play-off final. I hope you win and both of our teams take 6 points off the Mags, this coming season. ;) :D

Tbf things like penalties are easy to find out anyway. Just look at the likes of James Trafford with the instructions on his water bottle

This is going to hang over Southampton FC and their fans for years to come . Songs will spring up all over the Championship and they cant do owt about it. I mean we at SAFC still bang on about Jimmy Hill and Coventry City (The delay in the kick off time) Both teams playing out for a draw.

Could be a few players who now want away. They will feel cheated too. I dont know if its come out how much they knew about Spygate ??

Hull have only just come out of a transfer embargo through their own financial irregularities so are hardly paragons of virtue.

I find it staggering how their players and fans took this accusation so lightly, the celebrations from the players using pretend bino’s, the gilly suits etc in the crowd. The delusion on their message board is off the charts too. If i was in their position i’d have been deeply worried and uncomfortable from the moment it came out. I know it wasn't all fans etc. But for this reason i have very little (if any) sympathy for them at all. Arrogance doesn't cover it.

I remember listening to 606 a few seasons ago when we beat them in the championship but we were struggling and there were droves of their fans ringing in using the quote “a team like Southampton should be beating the likes of SAFC” similar arrogance, never liked them since tbh.

99% of Southampton fans I see online are doing incredible mental gymnastics to complain about this like they are hard done too. Should be diverting100% anger to their own club.

Coaches and players must all have known or had strong suspicions.

It's like as a club from boardroom to terraces they want everyone to hate them. Working too

That’s because there was only one charge against Southampton. There are 115 against City.

Summat like 100,000 pages of legal docs to go through.
They wish it was only 100k pages. Nobody knows exact figure but Everton had a reported 28k documents for the original hearing and that was 1 charge they admitted. City will be in the millions I expect as why not, PL were idiots to make over 115 charges and open themselves up to this behaviour.
