The Southampton players must have known about it or Eckert would not have been able to exploit the knowledge gained. I bet the Southampton keeper knew who the penalty takers were and what their preferred penalty was. Can't help but feel sorry for Southampton, not especially for the club, but for the fans and the players who have been let down. Also think Hull have been forgotten about, not knowing who they were going to be playing until a couple of days before one of the biggest games in the clubs history, never mind their fans having to readjust to a farcical change in kick off time.
Whilst all this has being going on, and one of the harshest penalties in football handed down, we still await the outcome of 115 charges against one of the richest clubs the world, who so far have had over 3 years and counting to concoct a defence . Talk about one law for the rich and not the poor
As for Hull it is sickening that their owner wants a bye to get his big money. To hell with the Hull fans having a rare opportunity to see their team in a showpiece match at Wembley. Gir that reason I hope Boro beat them.
