Southampton spying compendium thread

Its a mess alright ,what about the hull fans if the game is moved as im sure it wont be easy or cheap to change dates never mind the availability? The fans are always last in the thoughts of the officials when making these types of decisions but i bet boro fans would prefer the scramble to get to Wembley on saturday rather than a guaranteed another year in the championship ....as i know i would.

Thought there might have been a 5pm announcement. I know it was about 6:45pm last night, but who knows what time it'll be.

Hull owner saying they should get a bye in the final as Southampton have been kicked out. If boro beat them, expect more legal carry on. What a mess
what a load of nonsense! southampton cheated to get past boro to earn a right to play in the final ..its only right that hull have to earn the right to get to the prem!As an argument hulls owner is standing dodgy ground!

How do you know this? Maybe Boro developed a tactical masterclass of attacking football last week, and you didn't know it because Southampton worked out a way to counter it and the resulting stalemate was effectively disguised as a really boring and shit game?
Yeah because masterclass are done in a week
Preparation for games are done well in advance

Boro had 21 shots in the first game with only 5 on target with a 1.82 xg they failed to score. (That was not down to spying)

They had 51 touches in saints box on that day which is high

They had 11 corners

They also hit the post

They dominated saints all game and saints cleared one off the line.

The stats are easy to find.

Wrexham have got just as valid a grievance as Boro tbf.
I agree.

The 1-5 win against them, along with a number of other results for Southampton look very, VERY suspicious given the recent revelations.

If the verdict to kick them out of the final is upheld, but the points deduction is removed, I could definitely envisage Wrexham pulling a case together to complain in the hope another disciplinary investigation gives Southampton a points deduction if proved true.

I'm starting to think the only fair way of dealing with this, is to void every single Southampton match/result this season, and redo the league table as if they were never in it. Southampton relegated on 0 points, recalculate the whole thing, and start the playoffs again.

I'm sure someone did something similar, but starting from when Eckert took charge. The main impact would have been that Southampton and Hull would have fallen out of the play-offs, and been replaced by Derby and Wrexham.

Im sure someone will do the maths ..it would be interesting to see the table with the Southampton results wiped out!

Southampton's claim uses a Trumpian level of logic. The final is 'worth £200 million', therefore the sanction is worth £200 million.

Total bollocks. They're trying to cash in a win before the match is even played.

By the same token, Boro could claim that Southampton's cheating cost them £200 million. And Sheffield United could claim that VAR last year cost them £200 million.
Yep. The sporting sanction imposed is simply being kicked out of the competition in which the club cheated. The value of what might have been lost as a result of the sanction is totally irrelevant be it £2 quid or £200 million.
