How do they quantify that though? Whatever he has captured on camera may have resulted in points gained. Hard to prove or disprove, but the intent to gain an unfair advantage, ie cheating.
Correct decision to disqualify.

As I posted earlier on the thread their manager is famous for his meticulous team preparation, and spends the 3 training days before every match specifically focusing on set pieces and set up against the upcoming opposition. The whistleblower also said they often discussed which set plays the opposition might use and how to counteract them in meetings and during training. Also a number of teams have apparently discussed through the season how good Southampton were at dead ball routines and how surprisingly well they nullified opposing dead ball situations.

I reckon it was systematic through the staff and systematic over the league.

This. Eckert is also saying he didn’t realise it was illegal to spy, so why would he only spy on those three if he thought there was nothing wrong with it? They’ve been doing it for every game haven’t they?
 
I feel bad for genuine fans, they went on a hell of a run from relegation battle to potential promotion. Especially after the embarrassment of last season as well. They get a bit of pride back and then this comes out and its all in doubt. Thrown out of the play offs, points deduction, and the whole footballing world will know they're cheats and they'll have to live with the stigma of that for a long time....

Fully deserved mind, but i cant help but feel a bit sorry for them

Oxford being there is key, they could have tried to say Ipswich and Boro were high stakes games, the fact they spied on Oxford would go against them just doing it on key games.

Same with the players as well though.

Unless they knew about it of course.
 
Who was the Southampton player won was mocking the Boro players by pretending to be looking through a pair of binoculars?

Imagine if we had our play off game cancelled last year a short time before …
You will have grandads /parents ect looking to build memories ( again look at our win last season ) that has been stopped through no fault of their own

Club owe their fans a massive slice of apology

I think that would be fair. I don’t see why the punishment should drag on into next season.
