Southampton spying compendium thread

Craig Hope's f***ing creaming himself over this story the mag bastard. Nice warm up for milking all the mag summer window probably can't believe his luck
All about the clicks and interactions and views for him . Tweets something with catchy terms and then retweets with even more catchy terms. Yet usually the link to the Daily Mail + contains very little more information as he's just padded the stories up.

The amount Boro can claim is probably limited to their share of the final receipts. They can't possibly claim for the notional loss of PL money, as it's impossible to be certain they would have been promoted.
A good point that annoyingly I had failed to consider.

Having said that, a query to Google Gemini has thrown up more alternatives than you could shake a stick at.

Fascinating answers from absolutely bot all to £100m.

Definitely worth a shufti.

Should I cash out my Southampton to go up bet now ?
Paddy Power settled my fiver bet on Boro to be promoted after the second leg. Not expecting to see the money again.

It is an absolute mess of a situation but I don't think anyone is claiming Boro played badly in the first leg, despite the assertions. They were profligate in that first half when they should have been out of sight (ironic, somewhat)

I think I saw some one float boro get a first leg default 3-0 win due to it happening before the first game. Would mean a 2-4 overall win for boro. Don’t think Southampton could moan about that tbh.
That’s fair I am sorry let Bro & Hull play it out at Wembley

This makes me laugh
Why are all these Clubs conveniently coming out with ‘evidence’ now
Surely they report it at the time
Clubs are coming out as previously security would have just noted young lad at the fence and that’s it, thinking he was some local who was just a fan. Once this came out they’d have been asking security if they made any notes and then trawling through cctv. If Southampton are in the Championship next season it’s to every other clubs benefit they start in minus points and the most minus points possible so if they can add to the evidence it all helps.

Add in Wrexham will be thinking is Boro sued Derby the other year maybe they have a claim too if they can prove they were spied on. Every club is looking after themselves so more punishment for Southampton the better.

Harwood-Bellis was giving it that binoculars celebration to one of the Boro players when they scored the winner. Celebrating in the face of an opponent is a twattish thing to do at the best of times, never mind given the underlying circumstances. He seems like a right nob.
Just seen this deliberate standing on a hand, what a twat!

What do you think he saw / found out that was anything different from what they’d seen the previous matches throughout the season then ?
The team that was likely to play them almost certainly in fact.

The formation and anything else they were working on like pressing or sitting off and set pieces specifically to what boros management had worked out fairly from watching saints play.

It’s all ifs and buts though. I seriously doubt they changed anything from watching the match. Usual run like cheetahs to close them down tactic. Look it was definitely unethical, not disputing that, punish Soton 100%, however I don’t want borough to profiteer, they weren’t good enough. Award it to Hull, dock Southampton points next season no promotion to the premier this season is more than ample. If borough had won, it would have been cheats don’t prosper. Borough would have won on merit, they didn’t though. Of course you can award Hull promotion, nothing stopping it. Whatever decision they deem acceptable will be debatable. Would you be so pro boro get the tie if it was us who were the alleged culprits

youve misinterpreted my reply. I’m not disputing rule breaking only applies if the scoreline deems it so. You want borough in the final, great, I don’t think it’s the correct decision. I won’t convince you and you won’t convince me,simple as.
Waddyamean I want Boro in the final? Talk about being clueless! I don’t give a shiney shite who plays in the final as long as they haven’t cheated to get there.
Get yersel up very early tomorrow morning and gan to the highest point in yer hamlet then look into the rising sun in the east. Then turn 180 degrees to face west and THAT is where you’ll find the RIGHT end of the stick.

Look marra you’re wasting yer time. People are either intelligent enough to realise that the result of the game/games involved is/are irrelevant or not. No amount of rational explanation can reach out to some.

For all the cries of 'we don't care about little old Boro', there's a lot of people on here showing their true colours and displaying a lot of bitterness.

Not unlike you continually show towards Sunderland, a team you don't support, yet you still hang around here like a bad smell at the Riverside.

I think Southampton should be punished and kicked out...... but if it was based purely on you and your anti Sunderland drivel I'd change my mind and say " Fcuk Boro, and Gibson the Gonk, come on you Saints... "

You'd have to ask that of the slippery, sneaky little twat that made a nigh on 600 mile round trip to gain his info.. and his manager.

I'd rather see the tie played but failing that, just promote Hull. They beat Millwall over two legs. Zero sporting merit in reinstating Boro, they were profligate in the first leg which would have largely made all this noise go away.
Exactly, trying to be fair:-
Hull - won its playoffs and are finalist.
Boro - Lost its playoffs and should still face a hurdle before the final.
Southampton - An immediate 10 point deduction which takes them down to 7th.
Wrexham - Is the 7th Placed side and benefit from maths.

Time - Two playoffs games seems to be too much for both Boro and Wrexham, but also unfair on Hull having to wait. I think it would be fair to everybody and IF Boro can't beat Wrexham at home after losing two other playoff games, are certainly not candidates for a final.
An when would that be played? Tomorrow?
Maybe Thursday next week and shift the playoff final by a week.

Why do people think you can just ‘shift the play off final to another day ?
