Southampton spying compendium thread

Someone on the Hull forum just suggested this, and I can certainly see it happening. The least faff but punishment (eventually) if found guilty.
Assuming the charges against Southampton are accurate, I cannot see a scenario where Southampton are not disqualified, without Boro initiating a multi million £ claim against both Saints and the EFL.

I think this has a chance. Swindon were never going to be promoted years back.

Wish I'd known cos worst game I've seen in my life.

None of us knew.
Tottenham did the same and only picked up a fine.
If that set the precedent then so be it. Maybe Swindon should appeal and get the game against you replayed. Now that would be great 🤣🤣

“Swindon this time can we have the ball back at some point.”

In all seriousness. We were found guilty so be it although to this day it wasn’t as if we had Pele, Maradona or Messi signed on illegally. Just average players that were managed and played well as a team. We were fooking great to watch then.😢

No idea what will happen to Southampton but the news is out there far more than what it was in 1990. Their fans must be concerned though.

This.
Same as 1990 though. Both teams will be playing to win the game.
Can only see Southampton winning as well.

When we got kicked out the piss pot trophy this season it took a few weeks after the event before the judgement thus Southampton will appeal but the decision will have already been made.
If Southampton just get a fine then maybe we should initiate a claim as well.

The more I think about this the more I honestly think Southampton are in serious trouble. The EFL will want to set an example and let’s face it Southampton like Swindon are not Liverpool, United, City or Arsenal.

I would say if this turns out to be a one off, expulsion from the play offs (first leg default 0-3).

If they’ve been up to it over the season though, maybe relegation to league 1.

What they’ve done is so so wrong but absolutely insane risk vrs reward. I don’t think their manager will ever work again after this.

Southampton should be fined and kicked out of the playoffs Bro win by forfeit….Wrexham have no claim it happened after the season ended though reports they did it during the season
I think I saw some one float boro get a first leg default 3-0 win due to it happening before the first game. Would mean a 2-4 overall win for boro. Don’t think Southampton could moan about that tbh.

The amount Boro can claim is probably limited to their share of the final receipts. They can't possibly claim for the notional loss of PL money, as it's impossible to be certain they would have been promoted.

Probably been posted but the Telegraph reckon there have been multiple teams with evidence. Be proper sickening if it's Millwall or Wrexham who could have moved into 2nd/6th respectively with another 3pts
