It’s what’s best for the EFL and let’s be honest that’s all they’ll care about.Someone on the Hull forum just suggested this, and I can certainly see it happening. The least faff but punishment (eventually) if found guilty.

Assuming the charges against Southampton are accurate, I cannot see a scenario where Southampton are not disqualified, without Boro initiating a multi million £ claim against both Saints and the EFL.Someone on the Hull forum just suggested this, and I can certainly see it happening. I think this has a chance. Swindon were never going to be promoted years back.
Wish I'd known cos worst game I've seen in my life.

An when would that be played? Tomorrow? How about a one off playoff at Boro against the 7th placed side and winner plays Hull in the final ?
They should let Portsmouth play Hull to rub it in.
Getting into the Monty Python scenario now . Is this the argument room ?Pics first mate, before i commit.
I would say if this turns out to be a one off, expulsion from the play offs (first leg default 0-3).This.
Same as 1990 though. Both teams will be playing to win the game.
Can only see Southampton winning as well.
When we got kicked out the piss pot trophy this season it took a few weeks after the event before the judgement thus Southampton will appeal but the decision will have already been made.
If Southampton just get a fine then maybe we should initiate a claim as well.
The more I think about this the more I honestly think Southampton are in serious trouble. The EFL will want to set an example and let’s face it Southampton like Swindon are not Liverpool, United, City or Arsenal.
I think I saw some one float boro get a first leg default 3-0 win due to it happening before the first game. Would mean a 2-4 overall win for boro. Don’t think Southampton could moan about that tbh.Southampton should be fined and kicked out of the playoffs Bro win by forfeit….Wrexham have no claim it happened after the season ended though reports they did it during the season

It’s got nothing to do with FA.Fa will bottle it. Small fine, lots of arm waiving not much else.
Yep this. They can use my school pitch in Thornaby. An when would that be played? Tomorrow?
It's what's best for us fans who have bought tickets for a game on Saturday 23rd May (not a random midweek I can't make) as well and that's all I care about! It’s what’s best for the EFL and let’s be honest that’s all they’ll care about.
This makes me laughProbably been posted but the Telegraph reckon there have been multiple teams with evidence. Be proper sickening if it's Millwall or Wrexham who could have moved into 2nd/6th respectively with another 3pts
Unfortunately you are just a fan, nobody, governing bodies or clubs, give a toss about the paying spectators. It's what's best for us fans who have bought tickets for a game on Saturday 23rd May (not a random midweek I can't make) as well and that's all I care about!
Makes too much sense actually, so it won't happen.
