Southampton spying compendium thread

The area is covered by CCTV. That may be more conclusive.

The gadge also had head phones in so if it picks him up talking then it could mean live streaming and following instructions on what/who to record.

I still don’t understand why he legged it into the bogs and got changed? 😄
A truly bizarre story!
The photo was taken by a Boro media photographer, I am unsure who challenged him but it was stated immediately that he deleted content.
To be fair, I suppose he had a spare t-shirt just in case he spilt the coffee he bought.

I often do it myself when out on the piss, along with a spare pair of kegs after curry night in case of a wet fart 😉

Really and not sure if you’re being serious but after 205 minutes of football (plus stoppage time) it was 0-0 ask any football fan and most would say penalties are coming, minus Sunderland fans and maybe Coventry as we’ve both got recent history but to question if penalties didn’t look like the likely outcome is a bit crazy.

The goal was a miss hit cross that didn’t get defended because the player was dead on his feet, it wasn’t like it was a tie full of goals and Southampton won 6-0.

Man City and Chelsea were charged by the Premier League were they not? two different bodies with different rules and punishments it’s like comparing a sentence from America to those in the UK.

Also they were charged with very different breaches so again you can’t compare them. It’s a stand alone charge that no club have been charged with since the new updated rules have been formed. This is the case that any future spy issues that RFL find themselves in will go back to so a fine will open the flood gates.

Sky are saying a decision by Tuesday and possible chance of the match being delayed which means Wembley may not be available. If it ends up Hull and Boro then surely a northern stadium has to be used, yes they’ll get 15k less tickets but both average attendances would just about fit in our Stadium and it means they’d not need hotels just travel. EFL would probably have it at Cardiff though just to sell as many tickets as possible.

If Wembley is unavailable, Liverpool or Manchester look more likely than Cardiff.

But, our training session being spied on is a major factor in WHY we lost.
It's not about 'benefitting' - it's about the fact that we 'lost' to a team that broke the rules at our expense.
Bollox is it a major factor in why Boro lost. Boro weren’t great over 2 legs. It’s an attempt to get back in. Southampton should be punished by allowing Hull to go through and a subsequent points deduction.

Nobody knows the extent of the cheating (if any) but if it has happened and Southampton gained even 0.1% of of advantage precedent needs setting and that’s being kicked out, 1 goal changed the whole situation over 210+ minutes a tiny advantage is huge.
Point of order. They cheated, that doesn't have any 'extent'. Bit like saying your missus only cheated on you once. Admittedly, with the Coldstream Guards.

I see Southampton have started selling tickets for the final, the EFL really need to get a grip with this and sort it out.

That have noted that the date and time of the final are subject to changes however.

boro lost because they were shite and couldn't score no mystery really
How on earth can’t people grasp that boros performance has absolutely nothing to do with the offence ? How can’t people also grasp that boros performance could possibly have been down to Southampton having inside knowledge of their system, set pieces, tactics and such. I mean they might not have got that much info but they also might have and even still it’s the act of attempting that’s the crime.

Hardly think it's been worth it. I mean WTF can you get out of watching a training session from that far away, that you wouldn't get out of simply analysing oppos recent games. Caft Dunts
1) Potential change of formation as Hull did at Millwall and won
2) How involved is Hackney in the training session after injury - is he a likely starter?
3) New set piece routines

Well, it's been fun - what isn't in doubt is the cheating, all that remains to be seen is the punishment, and there's different opinions on here what that should be. Enjoyable whatever happens, and not something to get too exercised about if the outcome isn't what you'd hoped :)

Totally. This is insane. It's either stupidity or just blinded by bias.

What do you think he saw / found out that was anything different from what they’d seen the previous matches throughout the season then ?
Same shite as previous 46 games .Hit and hope ,backpass, bad tackles, short passes not finding their man etc. NORMAL .🤷‍♂️

Old Trafford will probably get it, was just thinking of travel that’s all. Us and Anfield both have concerts mid to early June so preparations will start after last home match I guess.

And they can say that’s because Southampton watched them train. I know some believe they don’t learn anything in training and they just play heads and volley but if Southampton cheated they need punished.

How good or bad Boro were is irrelevant imo.

It’s a rule breach. Whatever happens Southampton can’t complain.
100% - And the fact is we we equally as 'good' as Southampton over 180 minutes - so not sure where the claims we were shite are from (except the fact we can't score). Any tiny advantage Southampton MAY have got watching training could have cost 1 goal in the first leg which would have seen us progress. If Boro had done this, not Southampton then I'd be expecting us to be kicked out or a 3-0 first leg.
