Southampton spying compendium thread

It's definitely a storm in a teacup mind, everyone laughed it off when Bielsa did it and it should have been the same here. It probably goes on at most clubs but Southampton have just been unlucky and got caught. Boro had two games to beat Southampton and couldn't do it and lost to the better team, no bloke hid in the bushes for 10 minutes with a camera had any significant impact on the result of the tie.
I don’t think it had a lot of impact on the result aswel but that's not the point they got caught breaking the rules and could still get kicked out.

I accept that its probably unlikely that Southamptons lone wolf defence is true.

However, its not beyond the realms of possibility that a young, keen intern armed with just an iPhone could turn up in his dars jeans to help his work.
Even as an intern he's classed as an employee of the club, so it's their responsibility even if they didn't know ... he's fucked them either way.

How do they know he bought a coffee and can pinpoint the cards use elsewhere?

what grounds is there to share the information?

Aye he removed his LinkedIn and I saw this screenshot. At first I thought he'd left Southampton as part of a 'defence' but it's actually him liking a comment from someone else leaving 2 weeks ago 😆

This is from at latest 2021 so 5 years ago but this bit is amusing 🤣

What was the day-to-day at Southampton like within your placement year?

I was working with the U18s and U21s which involved filming and clipping videos of training for the coaches. I supported the lead analyst for the relevant age group with opposition dossiers, footage and content creation for 1-to-1 meetings between players and coaches. From here I led the U12/U13s, which involved working really closely with the coaches to create pre- and post-match meetings. This led to an opportunity at the start of the season to work full-time for the U16s in the interim before I went back to university.

Seems to be posting some interesting stuff the diggerlad fella

The fact that their manager has walked out of every press conference when asked if he instructed it to happen makes me think it’s unlikely.

I get they will be told not to go into details whilst the process plays out but that’s a pretty simple question to answer if nothing to hide

Cheating is cheating , same treatment as Swindon for me, problem is to prove them guilty will take months so they will take the easy option for that reason and slap on wrists
Can’t see any reason why they need to take months. The league wants the hearing this week. And judging by the postponement of the tickets sales suggested above, sounds like it might be tomorrow. So you can have a verdict and sentence by Friday.

A bit torn on what they should do personally. It doesn’t seem that big deal. But it makes a mockery of the rule if the punishment is isn’t enough to stop them profiting from it.

Gibson owns Rockliffe hall. Once they’d ID’d him I assume he’ll have asked the staff to check. I’m assuming there’ll be a GDPR breach if he’s passed that info off without a thought

Needs to be dealt with one way or another prior to Wembley, no doubt legal procedings will continue whichever way it goes.

Wouldn't sit right with me personally if we were gifted a run at the final like in similar circumstances. Had the first leg ended up in Southampton winning comfortably then aye fair enough but they didn't have a shot on goal until the 65th minute

If Saints wanted to get away with it they should have told him to buy a Boro shirt from sports direct on the way over. He would have just looked like a student fan going to watch training. All this for the sake of a 50 quid replica shirt. Missed a trick

Lawyers unfortunately, they would need to prove it and that will be challenged , the efl will know that and won’t want it coming back to bite by making a quick decision
