Southampton spying compendium thread

So Boro either play exactly how Southampton expect them to or they select a team/tactics the manager doesn’t think is his best. Either way Boro is at a disadvantage.
It seems that way but we have no idea what Boro were doing in training or how long Soton were watching for and what footage they have.

EFL need to conclude the play offs and then do a "Swindon" , if Southampton win the wembley final , the runners up get a promoted .
But then that's not fair on Boro.
It's Boro that have (allegedly) been spied on, so to let a Southampton win stand and then expel them if they win the final, it's allowing the losing finalists into the premier league when it's not them that have been allegedly spied on.

EFL will let Soton spy for the final.

Problem solved.

There are so many rumours it’s hard to what’s true. It started off with the bloke had the footage deleted off his phone but then turned into he had a device that allowed him to hear what the manager was saying was streaming footage directly back to Southampton

The Soton coaching staff will have to go thru a memory cleansing session just like in Star Trek.

Good point . I'll ask my eldest Gson , who's currently on the train up from KIngs Cross to the Boro for the match . He's a lot cleverer than me .

Not just team / tactics. Set pieces are now hugely important so any marginal gain in this area would be to Boro’s detriment

Will have had added impact seen as Boro have been so tight lipped on whether their best player is going to be match fit or not.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out, mind. A fine similar to what Leeds were given isn’t going to cut the mustard when you compare it to the monetary rewards of promotion.

Maybe they thought if they got the same fine as Leeds it was worth taking the risk? They could be in for a shock then.

Makes you wonder if this is going on in the premier league, only w even better equipment - satellite technology so not caught. Would explain Forrest 5-0.
