Again, incredibly stupid post lacking any awareness / intelligence. It's a small minority in the south stand that seem to have given the entire stand a reputation. I stand next to good folk who get behind the lads and have a bit of crack. You couldn't pay me to sit in any of the other entirely soulless parts of the ground that might stand up and get involved in a chant once or twice a game.'atmosphere' or not you couldn't pay me to sit in the South stand. full of absolute whoppers. feel sorry for the genuine good folk who sit there
it's exactly that though. the stand now has a reputation regardless of what the numbers are as being the knackers stand of choiceAgain, incredibly stupid post lacking any awareness / intelligence. But instead of saying "clearly there's a minority of people who are ruining it for everyone" you've gone down the route of saying its "full of absolute whoppers". There'll be arseholes in all areas of the ground but with the south stand being full (or overfull) every week it's highlighted more. There's literally a video of idiots in the North Stand hoying stuff at the Cardiff keeper. I've seen stewards attemtping to do things about the groups of kids throwing beer etc at half time and that's got better. I've seen people been removed for breaking the laws of the ground so the stewards do remove people when required.it's exactly that though. the stand now has a reputation regardless of what the numbers are as being the knackers stand of choice
Just feels to me mate that the people complaining are the ones looking at the South Stand, being told about these "issues" and not those who actually stand there and enjoy it every week.we are at the back of the east stand now as we have a few kids in our group but i totally agree with you. used to love standing at the back of the south stand during the allardyce, poyet seasons
we are lucky that we have about 10 season tickets in the back two rows, on the end , and theres about another 10 spots behind us that they don't sell, so we all get to stand all match in our little group and its a lot easier to shout and sing when your stood up with your mates. i couldn't imagine sitting in the middle of one of them blocks in the east stand packed in every seat taken and unable to stand up or let any energy out. but each to their own
Noticed a big CCTV camera at the back of the South Stand on Saturday actually. Probably been there for years but was the first time I've noticed it, can only think they've installed it recently along with the cameras they've put in the away end. The police box seem to do fuck all like.I'm beginning to think there are no cameras in the ground and that security room they used to have is now just Andy Peters sitting with his hand up a puppets arse.
Still yet to see anything at all done about the away fans throwing things for years in terms of identifying anyone.
"Fans throw object"
Was it too heavy for only one of them to throw it?
granted 'full of whoppers' was the wrong choice of words but the point remains as in that's how the stand is quickly becoming perceived regardless of the numbersBut instead of saying "clearly there's a minority of people who are ruining it for everyone" you've gone down the route of saying its "full of absolute whoppers". Just when we thought you couldn't top the bizarre Twelve Angry Men analogy post, you come out with this tremendous effort.I called you out other day saying pm me and meet... let’s prove who’s keyboard .. no reply .. so again ha’way then ??
I’m waiting .....
Think we’ve spotted a paper ball thrower, they all seemed to have anger issues, too much testosterone for their little bodies to handle! Count to 10 the next time you feel like offering to meet a fellow posterI called you out other day saying pm me and meet... let’s prove who’s keyboard .. no reply .. so again ha’way then ??

I fully agree with the booing of the knee being an issue. However, i'm row 29 and I genuinely don't hear anyone around me doing it. I think it comes from further back. That being said however, if people want to boo the knee anywhere in the ground what can you do about it? I disagree with it but unless you can physically remove everyone for voicing their own opinions/feelings I don't get what else you can do.granted 'full of whoppers' was the wrong choice of words but the point remains as in that's how the stand is quickly becoming perceived regardless of the numbers
it may just be perspective but from where I sit (NEC) the very vocal booing of the knee for example appears to cleary be loudest from the South stand. it's stuff that like which leads to me using the term above even when in reality it's a minority
It's wrong I know, but for me it sheep following sheep and young un's trying to look the part.I fully agree with the booing of the knee being an issue. Been in the South Stand for about 5 years now. It's ok, but seems to be an increasing number of utter bellends. I remember one of the night games last season (Cheltenham I think) - literally 6 seconds into the game "Shearer is a wanker" started. I mean, he probably retired before the majority singing it were even born nevermind saw him play. One of the loudest chants on Saturday was "Sheep shagging bastards, you know what you are". Is it the crime of the century? Absolutely not, but is it really necessary when we're losing and have a young team in need of support. Was aimed in particular (along with a load of paper missiles) at Callum O'Dowda when he was subbed off who is Irish. If we went to Cardiff, won 1-0 and they sang shit like that at us (obviously an English version) we'd laugh at them for being so smalltime.
Our fanbase has always been a source of pride, and it terms of numbers we are superb, but in terms of behaviour and originality we're no better than all the other clubs we mock.
Thought the atmosphere in the first few games last season was excellent and it still seemed like a novelty to be back after lockdown, but seems like a lot of people think they can just do what the fuck they want and go on like a dickhead because they're allowed out the house again.
Booing taking knee predominantly from there. Very small town and embarrassing.1) people were throwing poppy display paper balls on the pitch at our players when they were attacking.
2) someone has been ejected for using a laser pen
3) groundstaff are clearing paper balls of pitch at half time, so people are throwing more on
4) paper balls thrown at the soldiers doing the half time challenge
What the hell is the matter with folks? I'm vexed![]()
This, I sit in the family section of the South Stand with the bairn and to be honest it's the best of both worlds, can sit down and watch the match and also sing. But I used to stand in the southstand with my mates and its good craic. Any other time you sit anywhere else its absolutely dull as owtAgain, incredibly stupid post lacking any awareness / intelligence. Maybe it's time to start self policing it and calling out the knackers ruining it for everyone else in the South Stand.?In fairness, you couldn’t pay me to sit anywhere else. You get moaned at by people for making any noise and god forbid you stand up when something exciting is happening.
It’s not full of whoppers. There’s a fair few but there’s far more decent, genuine fans in there.
I think a lot realise that some of what we find abhorrent, small time, cringeworthy etc in the opposing team’s supporters, we actually do ourselves.Noticed a big CCTV camera at the back of the South Stand on Saturday actually. Suspect after that SAFC press release the other week it seems the away fans will most likely be going in the SE corner. This, I sit in the family section of the South Stand with the bairn and to be honest it's the best of both worlds, can sit down and watch the match and also sing.
