Somerset v Notts, why not shown on Monday?

Rained off today but will play tomorrow weather permitting.

Woman's T20 finals day is on, which is fair enough but it's live on three separate channels at the same time.

Could one of the channels show the men's T20? Or even put it on the red button, like they do for woman's games previously?

I've no problem with sky trying to promote the women's game, but I follow the mens T20 and pay through the nose as part of my subscription to see all the big games live.

Disappointed

Lancashire or Surrey were not featuring.

Seriously, it's all about the contracting for live offerings in slots.
The Women's T20 final was the contracted slot today.

They could show the Notts match like they did at Durham on the cheap. No firework boxes, the big screen was not used, no sweet Caroline, kiss cam and all the rest that Saturday

I would have gladly paid double the £10 I paid for my ticket if they had done away with the above on Friday night.

Haven't got the inclination to Google it but despite what you say the cost of screening a day's cricket is eye watering (so they say).

Sky is a business and logic must say that having two games on at once that they have to produce isn't cost effective.

Indeed, Sky is a business, they’ve lost thousands of viewers today by not having this match televised. Logic would tell them to plan for the possibility of rain.

I’m sure the women’s T20 with the 480 viewers they’d have got will keep Murdoch happy though.

They've done it numerous times in the past. Sky is a business, you say, well they are contractually obliged to cover the T20 to its conclusion. Come finals day they have three games to play which clash with the premier league live games.

Today had three channels showing the woman's games. Three?? One easily could have shown the game and I've said it previously when they showed Durham v Notts, it was the cheapest coverage this season . No pyrotechnics, no fancy scoreboard, one cameraman walking around the ground.

There was no financial excuse for not showing the game

But it was already known games had a rain day when needed.

All they needed to do was put one of the three channels showing the women for this game.

Or behind the screen on the red button.

Easily done. I mean they are showing ten championship games at the same time on the red button.
