Rained off today but will play tomorrow weather permitting.

Woman's T20 finals day is on, which is fair enough but it's live on three separate channels at the same time.

Could one of the channels show the men's T20? Or even put it on the red button, like they do for woman's games previously?

I've no problem with sky trying to promote the women's game, but I follow the mens T20 and pay through the nose as part of my subscription to see all the big games live.

Disappointed

They can promote it all they want, its never going to bring in the revenue the mens game does.

Oh and I agree, poor show ref the Somerset game.

Because it costs loads to screen a cricket match apparently.

I'm of the same view as you though. As it happens, and I know it isn't the same, you can watch it on the Somerset website for free.

Irony of it all is the Women’s shite won’t get 10% of the viewers the Somerset v Nottinghamshire game would - but Sky need to continue their ‘right on’ stance.

Glad I no longer pay for their ‘service’.

Do they not need to take it all to whichever women's games are on? It's not like they've got an infinite amount of broadcast trucks, cameras, directors etc
No, It takes a while to dismantle all the equipment. Certainly they're at Durham a good while before and after the game. By all means cover Women's cricket but there's no doubt the men's QF is a much bigger attraction.

Three channels showing the same game. That's surely a case to have one with the Notts game on?

They could show the Notts match like they did at Durham on the cheap. No firework boxes, the big screen was not used, no sweet Caroline, kiss cam and all the rest that Saturday

They could have used Bob Willis, Charles Ccolville, Ravi Bopara and harmison to commentate on the Notts match.

Or better still, dispense with commentary☺

They’ve got more than one set of telly cameras. There’s regularly more than one game on a day - like when the T20 on a night follows a day of Test cricket.

They’ve also got about 40 commentators on the payroll.

As I say, they’ve done more than one game in a day before, it wouldn’t have been difficult to do the same here.

With 24 hours notice it would be difficult to do. And I'd be very surprised if there isn't an agreement that they can't broadcast any cricket, certainly domestically, at the same time as the women's final

They wouldn’t leave it until 24 hours notice, they’re professional, they would employ a bit of forward planning.

Aye, I’d hate to think an actual meaningful, interesting game of cricket got in the way of summit barely any fucker cares about.

all the qfs had a rain day available. This was known weeks in advance.

sky are committed to show the qfs live and as a subscriber, i expect to see this game Live.

as i said the womans game is on three sports channels today. That is ridiculous and as a subscriber, it's not too much to ask for one channel to show this game.

logistics is not a good excuse, as everything was on site already plus the womans venue would not have been set up today with those same cameras.

i feel cheated as a subscriber. I'm going to contact sky about this

Haven't got the inclination to Google it but despite what you say the cost of screening a day's cricket is eye watering (so they say).

Sky is a business and logic must say that having two games on at once that they have to produce isn't cost effective.
