Think it pay off long term. Government should give us help to go greener!
That 9 years was pre price increase for the leccy. So you’ll be able to shave some time off the 9 years.Estimates are it takes about 9 years to break even from them.
Edit : According to Martin Lewis on the radio today. Can't pretend I know the first thing about them.
Nah it was 15 before the price increases and around 9 now apparently. That 9 years was pre price increase for the leccy. So you’ll be able to shave some time off the 9 years.

It depends how you use them. If you have someone at home all day solar panels will drive a decent electric heater and do all your washing while the sun is shining. Saves me a bit.see the prices are about 6 grand is it worth doing? Can you pay in instalments?

Checking some numbers, we get to the expected results: cities in the south come out with the lowest payback years. While the national average is 9.5 years, it takes only 8.4 years in Plymouth, Exeter and Truro (the top three) for a domestic solar panel installation to pay for itself. However, cities in the north are not as left behind as one would expect.
Took me around 6 years to pay mine off. I earned around £1000 last year plus the cheap leccy.Estimates are it takes about 9 years to break even from them.

You store spare electricity that is generated when the sun is out, that you don’t use at the time, and use it when the sun goes in.what’s the advantage of having a battery?

Surely once folks are used to paying something there's no way back.I read a few reports stating the high prices will only be here for a year or so, then it'll drop back to normal.
That's pricey.. you should be able to get 4kw for 4kSaying 2.8 kw is about 5 grand without a battery. Will this generate a lot of electricity?
