Agree but Short put £250m into the club so that buys him some grace.Ellis Short would not invest in the stadium…. This is not a short term problem

Anyone else think they will be waiting for us go up before significant investment in concourse and stand improvements? Feels like the current work is just bodge what we currently have.
If we go up they'll spend the extra money on players, their wages and covering the running costs. They'll still not touch the ground significantly.Anyone else think they will be waiting for us go up before significant investment in concourse and stand improvements? Feels like the current work is just bodge what we currently have.

We could be waiting a while.Anyone else think they will be waiting for us go up before significant investment in concourse and stand improvements? Feels like the current work is just bodge what we currently have.
This is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone complain about that. What you mean “eh?” We on about improving the stadium, my suggestion is that where the players congregate before they walk out looks very dated compared to the likes of Leeds/Brighton etc why can’t they improve that
They are a joke you tried getting anywhere at halftime?. Dull, uninviting and at times dangerous. I’ve not bought a thing in the past three years in the ground because it’s an absolute chew on and at halftime it’s rammed and beyond dated. It’s just not a nice place to be I get in ten or so mins before kick off stay in my seat till full time and leave. On a serious note, what’s so bad about the stands and concourses that requires significant investment? They’re nice to haves at best imo. It’s not as if they’re like QPR, Elland Road or Turf Moor where there is dangerous crushes. Don’t the club outsource the catering anyway, so any (in theory) improvements to entice people to use the concourses more won’t even see any benefit to the club?
Other than some basic things I think they could get better like more colour and being a bit more inviting, like the Premier Concourse concourse is, I honestly don’t see the problem and I have a half time pint every home match. Yeah it’s crowded and busy, but it’s half time at a football match so I expect it to be. Those things I mention would require more minor investment in the grand scheme of things rather than owt major. Licks of paint, more photos or murals, that rubber type flooring the PC concourse has got.

"I think he (Louis-Dreyfus) is looking at the stadium, he is looking at stadium park and he is looking for other facilities," Murray revealed to The Echo when asked about the condition of the Stadium of Light. "They have got a blueprint. They have been nice enough to share it with me and I'm massively supportive of it."
Like I said though, it’s a football ground, not the Metrocentre. I get somewhere in the concourses every match because I go and meet me dad for a pint. The service is the only thing that pisses me off. Never once felt it was dangerous, just busy like you expect a football ground to be at entering, half time or leaving. They are a joke you tried getting anywhere at halftime?. The south stand can feel dangerous at times, football has moved and our concourses are starting to look and feel very dated now.Like I said though, it’s a football ground, not the Metrocentre. Part of the ground is that out of interest?Like I said though, it’s a football ground, not the Metrocentre. I get somewhere in the concourses every match because I go and meet me dad for a pint. My season ticket is in the South Stand and have never felt it was dangerous mind, crowded, loud and boisterous aye. But I’ll say again, it’s a football ground. The south stand can feel dangerous at times, football has moved and our concourses are starting to look and feel very dated now.
South Stand and where I walk along to meet me dad for a HT pint is East Stand. I’ve been in the North Stand before and as far as I’m aware the concourse is the same size as South.Part of the ground is that out of interest?
Concourses in the North Stand lower are ridiculous at Half time, and like the poster further up I've not bought anything in the ground for years because of the state of it down there.
This , theres clubs in the premier league which are worse, Crystal Palace , wolves, forest , Bournemouth, Fulham apart from one new stand , and any team that goes down or up this season. The seating areas are fine and we don’t need to extend in my opinion, any improvements should be hospitality and the concourses which we have the room to do, and the concourses could be done at little cost with stack style outside areas by moving the turnstiles back. Any significant investment at this point should be in the squad to get us up.No, the ground really isn't as bad as some are making it out to be in this thread.
Corporate areas will be the area where any investment goes which they appear to be doing anyway.
The concourses are terrible, there is no other way to put it.On a serious note, what’s so bad about the stands and concourses that requires significant investment? They’re nice to haves at best imo.
